Just a reminder for the DC race tomorrow. I have received gobs of responses from people that are going to try to make the race tomorrow. So please get to the hill early so you get pleanty of practice. And wear your race face. Be afraid....competition will be feirce. I predict my second win.

Hey guys,
I may be able to make it. It all depends on how much work I can get done on Saturday and also how my back feels. I kind of tweaked it yesterday, but I'm going to try to take as much 800 mg Motrin as I can. If I can get it to stop bugging me long enough to stop walking around like an old man, it usually takes care of itself.
Hamm,
You want to carpool? Let me know.

There may be some new blood showing up for the race this Saturday. Be scared... All you guys need to be running your best. Dont get to comfortable thinking you are near the top in points. Also Slappy has a new Roe and he is looking 100% faster. Wes is also going to be stepping up. Anything can happen. By the way, is that Bobo character going to show up for this one. You can bring Laura I will allow quads to participate.

Due to an unfortunate conflict with my volunteer schedule, it is likely that I'll miss this weekend's race. That is, unless they come up with an overabundance of help or a shortage of work on Saturday morning. Have a good race everyone.

Not to be confused with the Saturday DC Outlaw Race, there will also be a race on Sunday in the DC. The Sunday race will be at Great Seneca Park, Cardinal Picnic Area, in Gaithersburg, just down the road from the Saturday race, at noon. Come early to practice, fire up the grills etc. Park just before the entrance booth and walk over through the woods or park at the recycled tire playground and skate over.

3rd race of the DC Winter Outlaw Slalom series is scheduled for this Saturday at the Park and Ride in Gaithersburg MD. The weather is threatening so keep checking the events forum for details in case we need to reschedule. For you guys traveling from out of town drop me a note at info@eastcoastslalom.com if you need directions or need my phone number. Call the day of the race to get a status on the race conditions.
If any of the Northeast guys need a place to stay this weekend you are welcome to crash at my place. We are expecting rain in this area tomorrow but the rest of the week looks clear.
Curt Kimbel is the current points leader with Mike Ohm, Dan Mitchell, LBK and myself right on his heals. It should be a really fun day. Practice will start around 11:00 and racing at 12:00. Please try to get to the hill early so you get plenty of practice and have time to adjust your equipment. I am expecting a record crowd for this one hopefully over 20 racers.
The course will be hybrid and we will race duels.

Now, doesn't that beat all! For years we're able to skate Lansdowne without anyone giving us any guff and it was great. Then they say they are going to refurbish it, but instead, they spend the money to build a fence around it which locks everyone out. If nice weather were predicted for Monday, I'd probably be planning to skate it anyway, fence be dammed.
