DC Summer Outlaw Series postponed due to rain. Brian ran into some heavy downpours on his way to the Park and Ride. He will be there around 10:30am in case others show up. Stay home and feel lucky that I didn't kick your butt again today.

Just spoke with KMG, who has been at the Gaithersburg Park and Ride this afternoon. He wanted me to suggest that people bring brooms and trash bags. The place is a mess, with much broken glass even impinging on the course area.

Looks like no slalom racing in DC tomorrow…Sunday is a possibility…so we will move the Outlaw race to Sunday. I really hate to loose a weekend if at least one of the days has a possibility of dry weather.
Long board practice will start at noon at the Gaithersburg P&R. This later start time hopefully will provide for more drying time if needed. If anyone wants to call me for an update on the hill conditions you can reach me on my mobile #703-901-5167.
Call or email if you need directions.

I've been looking at the weather up my way,And it looks like I won't have a dry day to go sweep at The Dam.It's got a steep pitch, and has been sanded(winter use by the Rangers),so the rain just pushes grit right into the turnaround at the bottom.Since that's the case up my way,And since the Girls have this fab BBQ planned,I'm taking the Easy way out next weekend and travelin' South to Connecticut! So,Lisa,is there a good long fast hill for my Buttboard/Luge in the neighborhood? Oh,and I'll need more precise directions,so please email me. As for Ball Mountain Dam,I'll post up here again, looking for an early-mid June Weekend.

Yeah, that sounds good. email me some directions and details as they become available. Camping spots in the area might also come in handy. Might as well be beat, dirty, and sleep-deprived. Henry can bring my board that I left in MA, if he has the ballz to show. Methinks he may get a beating from yet another 70's relic

Yo Brian! Whilst helping with a stream valley cleanup project w/a local middle school a punk kid straight out of an old GBH album cover(spikes and all) told me of a parking garage where he and his buddy sk8 on sundays and it's OK for them to sk8 there....but saturdays are not good due to the Dr's offices being open, etc. I can investigate more...but it's near the new Bowie Town Center, in central Prince George's County. Maybe it'll be big enough for some cone running?

All,
I'm looking to add an outlaw slalom jam onto the WoodCamp longboard day. Lisa has a newly paved school lot with a decent grade. We can longboard on Saturday 5/31 and slalom on Sunday 6/1. All are welcome, I'll have gear for beginners. Just bring a good attitude. Henry, bring a dress.

DC OUTLAW SERIES

I am sure all of you DC Outlaws have been watching the weather cannel trying to determine if there is a slight chance of a break in the weather so we can slalom race outside on Saturday. Well, it looks bad. We have over a 50% chance of rain every day for the next 10 days.
I will make the call Friday morning if this weather does not move out I will be forced to cancel another DC Outlaw race.
I know that you guys have actively been looking for indoor spots around the area that could be used for races. Please keep it up. Eventually we will find one.
I am very happy that the Gathering was not rained out. We were extremely lucky to have had a great weekend to keep the stoke alive.
Vlad, Ohm we need to find somewhere indoors fast so we can practice for Breck.

The CT Cruze is pretty close to the middle state, while the girls live in ultra snooty Avon, if you mapquest Unionville, they live very near the intersection of 4 and 177.
From New Milford you can take 202 to 4 less than or about an hour.

It's not a big event, it's just a tour of some of our local hills, no cones, no closed course. If you want to come, we would love to have you. The locations are in the Farmington Valley area. Send me an e-mail and I will give you more detail.

PSR, I know your planning a skate next weekend, but if it does'nt come together, We are getting a group together next weekend to cruz and carve some local hills here in CT and then have a BBQ. SteveP and his wife, and Henry are coming (Joe I can only make the BBQ), would love to skate with you again.
