Calendar of Events
On 10/10/2000 DT wrote in from (192.189.nnn.nnn)

I know what you said, i was just too busy being a smart-ass! For the time being, we will keep the same format, www.longskate.net has done a great job as far as world wide races and for local events we have had no problems. Your idea is very good and perhaps over the next few months it may become apart of the ncdsa, but right now Adam and myself both work full time and i go to school full time. Neither of us make any money off this, we do it because we love this fine sport. I'm going to remove these posts later, perhaps you'll want to e-mail Chris the good news and when the calendar is ready feel free to let us know ;)

Chris, I would be happy to help out and hereby volunteer myself! It's been a loooong time since I played with HTML but will try to put something together this week as a start on an events page.

DT, I think you missed my point. Much like the post-it notes all around my desk, dates of events are scattered in different areas, archives, etc. One clean list would be a great reference.

I have seen bits and pieces of this video. They were playing it in pre-production form at the Kryptonics booth at the ASR.
This is one HOT video!!
It will set a new standard for longboard videos.

Roger, Unless Adam and DT have a burning desire to be responsible for constantly updating a calendar page, how about you becoming the webmaster at SkateRelated.com with a link from NCDSA that can take you and others there? My intention is to promote all skate related sports and a calendar page, results page and Roger J page would be cool.

"Calendar of Events" webpage
On 10/9/2000 roger wrote in from (198.206.nnn.nnn)

How about a "Calendar of Events" page that only webmasters update.
I have already forgotten the dates for the next Barrett race, Scott Peer and others will post event schedules, but everything is kinda scattered and I've made a goof of myself by keep changing dates for a suggested Dump Rd.

It would be really cool to have one page that listed all the upcoming dates for both organized events and for some informal gatherings.

Barrett
On 10/9/2000 roger wrote in from (198.206.nnn.nnn)

A big thanks to the Waterhouse family and the "homemade crew" for all the hard work that goes into these events. It was a lot of fun for everyone and a good mix of serious competition, ridding just for fun, spectating, child play (young and old) , camping, and feasting in Tecate.

With all the horn tooting about the finish line and who won what events, it easy to forget to applaud those that created the event. Barrett Junction is particularly special because of it's soul and "love of the sport. My hats off to the Waterhouses and the support of the sponsors!

Till next time!
Roger

Do you "crazy bastards" in South Africa use a "mm/dd/yy" date format or "dd/mm/yy"? I can't tell if this event is April 6th or June 4th.

The Red Bull Downhill Extreme is set in cape Town , South Africa. A winding 1.8km run with a left and right hairpin switchback midway through a sick run. I welcome all Bro's from the world over to enjoy this sesh. South Africa is inexpensive, loaded with Surf and with a ratio of 7 girls to 1 man it is ruling. Pull in you crazy bastards, we need to check your styles and beat the best stand up time of 1min 29 sec. Come kill it peace

Sat. Oct. 28th The sk8 shop Gravity has asked me to organize an event to coincide with a huge sale on snow, wake, and sk8 boards. The date is far enough that I should get some cool prizes, but sorry no money. There is no entry fee and everybody will go home with something. The lot is pretty flat, there will be ramps for banks and a take off ramp with gates. We should also have high jump, barrel(sp) jump, and I'm not only open to ideas but asking for them.
To all of you racing at Barrett this weekend great luck, have fun, smiles everyone smiles. Wish I could make it!!!
