SJC BBQ

DT, bbq, videos, beer, etc. sounds most excellent, count me. I can bring the ice chest packed with assorted beverages and a few BEEF patties. None of that vegi soy patty crap for this beer guzzling, beef eating, leather wearing omnivore! (belch)

Dump Ride
On 1/24/2001 Craig wrote in from (196.34.nnn.nnn)

You guys should try braai-vleis, instead of a BBQ, it's way cooler. Even better, braai yourselves some vegetarian soya patties, or a few butternuts with a vegetable filling!!

SJC Dump Rd (get there around 10AM)
On 1/20/2001 DT wrote in from (63.210.nnn.nnn)

The hill is located in San Juan Capistrano off the Ortega Hwy. San Juan Capistrano is located south of Irvine/Mission Viejo and north of Oceanside off the I5 freeway. Exit at Ortega Hwy and turn east (right if you are driving north on i5 or left if you are driving south) you will be driving away from the downtown/mission area. You will see signs stating: Entering Double Fine Zone - dont speed ;) You will drive through a residential area for about 2-3 miles than you will see soccer/polo fields on the right and the last stop light for 30+ miles, Antonio pkwy / La Pata. Turn right onto La Pata and proceed up the first hill(the fields will still be on the right) once you get to the top the hill goes back down then up again. this is the hill we will be skating, so proceed with caution and your lights on high beam. You can park at the top. This session is not organized by ncdsa.com

Would anyone be willing to email me with some more info on the dump road run like; where is it and what time will people be there? I live in San Diego
and work on Sudays but I might be able to swing it with work depending on the time. I would really like to make it.

Park Session
On 1/15/2001 Blah wrote in from (209.245.nnn.nnn)

I'm up for a park session.

Especially Temecula or Ocean Beach, but I'm open to others. It will give me an excuse to get a Gravity Team 39". I'm not yet ready for using my randal downhills, I lack a decent helmet.

Barrett Bus Bonanza
On 1/15/2001 Chris Chaput wrote in from (63.168.nnn.nnn)

I think it's a great idea, I definitely need more time on that hill. I'll be up north on the weekend of the 27th and 28th but any other weekend looks good. We should bring a couple of brooms and bright orange spray paint to mark the BIG cracks and holes or maybe even some cones.

Barrett pre-race practice
On 1/15/2001 roger wrote in from (198.206.nnn.nnn)

A pilgrimage to Barrett Juction before the races would be a good idea. This hill needs a lot of practice to ride it well/safely and there will not be much time on the weekend of the race to get to know the course. Better to ride is solo before attempting with others. We should also check with Frank Waterhouse.

Hugh, Chris, anyone else up for Barrett pre-race session?

I'm done moving and ready for more riding, how about dump rd this sunday followed by some park riding? I'm getting a not so long board with kicktail (Powell Quicksilver re-issue) and want to see how will come back after 20+ years.
