There is some e-mail talk going on about getting a group together for a Barrett run either this saturday or the next. Hamm, you were mentioned as well as some of the TVS guys.
Any takers? Which day would work out the best? The 17th is best for me, but I could possibly pull something out of the hat for the 10th (It's not like it's the last birthday party her only sister will ever have... I hope!) HR

Last year i've done it with my swiss friends in Zurich, it was perfect and everybody enjoyed. This year the event takes place in france, "Nice" near Monaco on the french riviéra (south of france) the race is 1.8 km, 1.2 miles and the average speed is around 50 mph, there's 5 turns and 3 long straight parts. Believe me it's a great track ! .....

I put up a few pics of sundays ride... I hope to have some more up as soon as P Drucker shoots me over some images!
The vibe was very cool as usual... lots of fast guys showed up. It was a good day of riding! A special thanks to Gary H and Rick K for being so nice to my youngest son and showing him some moves.
Thanks to DT for once again showing us great places to eat and for the opp to get his new deck! Worth a long look.
Another special thanks to to Frank (don't call me Billy Madison) W, for the lessons and showing me that "I ain't that fast!" (Experience and technique REALLY make a difference!)
All in all it was a bitchen day... can't wait till the next one... HR

Ooo, Sorry Doug.
I should of asked first. It was late and some guys had asked about it so I just posted a copy and told them to look here. I should of added "not a sure thing" and "just for fun". They are just locals. I don't want anyone to make a special trip, just let them know that there is something to do that weekend if they are looking to play around a little.
Sorry, I won't do it again.

If what I read at a website is fact, the XGames will return this summer to San Diego!Don't ask me what site had it posted. For all I know I might have seen it posted here at NCDSA!If the games do end up in SD I hope the the local residents surrounding the hill won't cry about it.When the XGames were here people could only bitch about not wanting the events in their neighborhoods making it difficult to find something good to showcase the sport and it's competitors.

Any skating going on after Saturday's ASR 2:00pm meeting? There is supposed to be a good bank at a school in San Pedro and there is one in one of the L.A. river canals. I don't know the exact locations but I will find out tomorrow morning. See you there.

Sorry Doug, this sounds like too much fun to keep to ourselves! Hope you don't mind if I post it!
>>> I wanted to let everyone know about a small downhill race we are having in two weeks (President's Day weekend). The location is Rock Creek Park, Sherrill Drive (see the attached map). The street is closed down on the weekends and has a good pitch. Anyone wanting to participate let me know. The race is not official, sanctioned, or well-planned. Anybody wanting to take part will have to wear helmet and pads.
Anthony Smallwood and I will be out to the site tomorrow (Saturday) at noon. Wet conditions tomorrow may prevent any riding, but we will be there anyway. Anybody wanting to check it out, come on by. -Doug <<<
Rock Creek is downtown D.C. Fun Fun Fun!

Yes its still on. try and get there by 10am if you can, we'll probally split around 3:00 or 3:30. if you got a park board, bring it! You never know what will become of the evening. maybe a super sesh with park skating and a garge tour after that.
i would bring a jacket if you plan on staying later.
DIRECTIONS: The hill is located in San Juan Capistrano off the Ortega Hwy. San Juan Capistrano is located south of Irvine/Mission Viejo and north of Oceanside off the I5 freeway. Exit at Ortega Hwy and turn east (right if you are driving north on i5 or left if you are driving south) you will be driving away from the downtown/mission area. You will see signs stating: Entering Double Fine Zone - dont speed ;) You will drive through a residential area for about 2-3 miles than you will see soccer/polo fields on the right and the last stop light for 30+ miles, Antonio pkwy / La Pata. Turn right onto La Pata and proceed up the first hill(the fields will still be on the right) once you get to the top the hill goes back down then up again. this is the hill we will be skating, so proceed with caution and your lights on high beam. You can park at the top. This session is not organized by ncdsa.com

Marc,
The ASR is more than one day, and there will be other riders coming up Sunday that are doing the ASR earlier. And I understand if you already have prior commitments to longskate.com, its your job and there will be more dump road sessions. I hope you have fun, there should be loads of parties with the ASR so if you cant make the Dump, i'm sure you'll still have a fun time.
