One way or another I will be there. Will try to get there around 10am if I can wake up that early. Otherwise more like 11am-noon. We should also plan on going to Tecate when it gets dark for some beer and food.
Chaput's site has previous race info - including directions on how to get there at www.skaterelated.com/info/. also an ariel view.

Hey fellas, Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to Barrett this weekend due to the death of my grandpa. I really wanted to. I know you guys will miss me! I am pretty dissapointed. His feuneral is on Saturday, and there is a very nice, smooth, long and fast hill up here, so at least I will be having a little fun! Have fun guys, and I will talk to you later. Kludy, lets go ride in March? And DT, don't lose faith in me, I've got your money. Later.

Hugh, I'm going to do my best to get there (babysitting could be an issue). There is some wheel company that keeps promising me that I'll have their wheels to try out by then. It would be nice to have something other than an eXkate or Krypto to choose from. Bring a push broom or two, who knows what these rains have brought with them...

Make sure you get you drinks and food at the 94 turnoff because there is not alot of anything by the hill. You can buy lunch at the cafe right by the hill but the food is not all that great but filling. You guys are going to have the time of your life, this hill has it all ,speeds , turns or not thats what makes it fun.You can go as fast or as slow as you like because the hill is not a drop off at all, just long.See you guys there.

I imagine it would probably benefit the majority of people attending this weekend's event if we were to all meet at a well known, or easy to find location here in San Diego. From this spot, we could all depart together in order to insure that everyone is able to participate and thus decrease the probability for the inevitable "lostness" that may still shine its ugly head on some people. Oh, and for the airports around here, I'm not SURE about Brown Field, but I know a lot about the others. Your best bet is hit Lindbergh Field where all the big boys are allowed to land. There, you'll find all the necessities that a travelling bomber (no pun intended) will need to access the rest of the city. As for Montgomery and Gillespie, those are very small airports that are limited to Cessnas and the occassional Lear Jet. You'll find a nice hotel next to Montgomery, but nothing more than industrial parks as far as the eye can see at Gillespie.

Darryl,
most airlines are starting around 1600 - 1800. 1300 is a good price, hopefully its not full. good luck.
hey, where are you? Casey's? Berkeley? Hawaii? call me or drop an e-mail.

No , I will not be going to the S>A> race, some riders have the silver to go to races , me being a roofer with 4 kids I , as hard as I tried could not find the support to get the airline ticket to race the guys of cape town. That is a the way things work . There are great riders like myself that will not get to show just how good they are because of how much money they have.I am very happy to race at all ,and I will get to race all the E>D>I events this year as long as they are in the U.S.A. The funny thing about all of this is that I decided to be a super hero and that would be {Captain America} and because no one will help me get overseas to race.I will stay in the U.S of A and race.Dont that beat all? I will be at Barrett and race for sure!

We can make a event out of it and have tailgate party with as many riders as can find the hill, The testing is over lets go have a blast!

hey all, anyone that i didn't e-mail directly and lives in the bay area, let's get a crew for a night skate in the city (sunset, richmond, presidio, whatever) saturday night. common meeting place can be determined by someone who lives in the city and knows the best spots, or at purple skunk, cause we all probably know where it is and can move on from there. whatever, i'm itching to roll, anyone else? grinch
