dude thats suuuuppppppppeeeeerrrrr lame. that hill was the only reason i came to the sizzler last year. well that and the texas outlaws rule! but seriously...that sucks hard! the biggest, fastest GS in the world shut down by little high skoolers.
what are you guys gonna do for the GS? is there anything I(or timeship racing) can do to help the situation?

NO BIG VIEW HILL AT THIS YEAR'S SIZZLER

This is from Ryan in Austin....
After talking with the folks at River Place it looks like our chances of racing at Big View are now slim to none. Last year the board sent our request thruogh with no problems at all. This year (as of today) 3 of the 9 votes came back with a NO. Before the race last year Me, Matt and Andrew were the only people skating this hill regularly. I said it before I'll say it again. WE GO EARLY ON SUNDAY MORNINGS AND WE LEAVE EARLY!!!!!! It's real simple. The less people you encounter the better. Over the last few months it seems that a new group of kids has found this hill and have no idea how to conduct themselves. The Austin Longboard Club
http://www.austinlongboardclub.com/board/index.php
Check out their site and you will see what were dealing with. A bunch of stupid f#@!ing kids with no respect for anyone or any spot. In my previous post I pointed out how we have managed to keep this spot going for over 5 years with the proper etiquette and discretion. This was met with typical jr.high mentality "f you, we know whats, up you don't know us" kinda crap. These kooks are out there stopping traffic in the middle of the afternoon so they can do their slide bulls#@!. They also mentiom going out to the hill with a cooler of beer and chillin at the bottom. F@#*ING MORONS!!!!!!!!!!! At any rate if you got to race Big View last year congrats. If not and you were hoping to this year, it dose not look good thanks to these idiots! Also if your a vendor I would suggest not sending these kids any schwag as they are doing nothing positive for skateboarding in Austin,Texas. Ryan Smith

am tired, my feet are sore. The DownHill slalom action was awesome. So was the Downhill on Sunday morning. It was good to see all my bros. Special Thanks to Mark from Texas Longboards for coming out and lending a hand. To Kyle the newb you are a natural bro, you are welcome back any time. Clay T and Brett good to see some Texas Outlaws O G come out and lay down some lines. The hill belonged to Big Ryan. He ruled to day. On the down side Pete the Cuban Missile went down. News keeps coming in and he is OK. I will agree with the bros, do not. I repeat do not go out and blow our spots. Glad you will live to ride another day. Sunday morning we were up by 6:00 am and bombing hills. Nothing like going 40mph early in the morning that is my comfort zone. Borto, Gumby, Biscuits and Ryan were going much faster. Hybrid results: 1 Ryan Smith aka Big Ryan-19.634 2. Lou Statman aka Lou the xxx from LongView-20.987 3. Mark Gosser aka Gumby-21.228 4. Chris Doan aka GorrillaBiscuits-23.156 5.Gregg Stubbs aka Stubbs,Squishy-23.298 6. Eddy Martinez aka Texs Eddy-23.543 7. Clay Towery aka Uncle Cuddles-24.996 8.Pete Cardenas aka The Cuban Missle-25.360 9.Brette Anderson aka PointDexter-26.854 10. Zack Levitt aka Z-Boy-27.879 11. OK Outlaws and fellow Texans well will be gathering in Austin for a jam session on Dec Sat-8th. We will discuss the Sizzler and contest details, bring your slalom boards, DH boards, carvers, pool boards. We have plenty of loaner boards for any newbies interested in running cones. Big Ryan has a few spots where we can run cones. It will be good to see everyone. More details to follow. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws/Pavel Flow.
