I've just set up a club for us at Yahoo. The worlds first Longboard Lounge. It has LIVE CHAT!!!!!!! You can also post messages or pictures. It will never be NCDSA, but it can be a good place to come and chat with everyone.
Go to http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/longboardlounge and sign in. It only takes a minute and it's free.
The more people, the better. Come on over! God I wish all this snow would melt.

UPDATE: International Longboarder Magazine
Things are rolling along well the mag-we have just appointed Eric Groff as our West Coast Advertising "Kingpin." Although the magazine is free and we are distributing 50,000 copies around the world, you might want to subscribe (just so you don't miss anything) The yearly subscription rate is $10.00 for US & CANADA and $15.00 for everywhere else in the world. This gets you 4 issues and some stickers (along with a chance to win some longboard product). Again, please send me your local longboard scene report-we'd love to include it in the magazine.
cheers
michael

Still Stoked Longboard Skates are COMING TO AMERICA!!!
The NEW Still Stoked 'Guts' signature Round-Tail 6' Land Surfer can be seen in action at the San Diego trade fair. It is on show with Chris 'Guts' Griffiths new range of surfboards (3 great models - progressive noserider/60's traditional retro performer/bullet board). Then Chris will be touring with the boards up the coast from San Diego to Rincon, stopping at all the principle surf locations over a three week period. This is one of the few times that the ultimate longboard skate will be seen in the States, so check it out! Keep Stokin! Donny

Yo,
I just added a news story to Nose Wheelie, home.earthlink.net/~sturhann/nosewheelie/.
In the coming days, I'm looking to add several things, an Editorial, in-depth review of Randal 2 Trucks, and a Feature on Santee Skatepark.
Well, if this is really going to happen, I better get back to work.
Later, Chris

I'm looking for info on Turner decks. I vaguely remember them when they first came out in the 70's, and at the time they were way out of my price range. I have been looking for what I thought was a Summer Ski, and have found them nearly impossible to find. I'm also learning that there were different styles of these decks and I'm getting really confused about Summer Skis and Blackbirds. I never even heard of a Blackbird until recently on the this website. I live in western Pennsylvania, and there aren't a whole lot of skateshops or other skategeezers like myself to get info from. What I would like to know is : -- Could anyone shed some light on what boards Turner made, i.e., names, shapes ? -- Are there any decks out there that someone would be willing to sell ? Unfortunately I don't have anything worth trading. I'm not a collector, but someone who really enjoys slalom skateboarding. I'm looking for what I thought was the ultimate slalom deck, and maybe I'm way off base. Maybe it's sacrilegious to even consider riding a Turner now. I'm close to being clueless about anything concerning Turner decks. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

TIP TIME is a longboard surf video by LIGHTWAVE VIDEO PRODUCTIONS based at POBOX.6292 Pt. LOMA CA 92166 (619)224-LITE. It came out in 1995 and has a 10 minute Longskate segment in it. The surfing is Californian and Baja based and includes most decent mainland american longboarders (the Hawaiians are not represented). The surfing action is mainly medium size point nose stuff. The Longskate action is Mike Myers and Rich Phelps going off on Topps 60" boards. There is also a wicked segment of a crew doing every thinkable nose wheelie and Gturn ! There is also Jimmy G having the funniest (so long as it's not you) 30mph+ wipe out I have seen. Its worth it for the soul skate segement alone and if you surf it's a bonus. If anyone else has seen it let us know what you think as to me this is the only bit of video that really catches LONGBOARDIN' as it should be, but maybe I am weird so let us know what you think !
