Did I actually get a deal on Ebay??? Just bought the reissue Powell Quicksilver. Paid $31.00....should be a fun board to add to the collection. Has anyone ridden the board? I know the reissue is not aluminum...but still looks cool.

Well I for one am glad I decided to buy a set from elswhere. This whole thing was doomed from the start it seems.
I know what I'd like to do to that snake. But this is a PG forum [sometimes].
You have my e-mail address Preston. When you are ready to sell a set let me know. I will still be interested.

Debs, The 30" reissue news belongs here (great news I might add) and the newer 32" and 36" should follow on the vendors forum. Now if I can only ease down from this long awaited news (currently levitating 6" high)!!!!!!
These boards will....

Be thankful people are so "bored" they're still interested at all in the old crap you're selling,i look at a listing for a single beamer ,i have an instant picture in my head, much quicker than a 56k modem, i knew that board would be yellow:) i have this photographic memory problem, the problem is it didn't work in calculus, physics and chemistry, but i remember exactly what alan gelfands single beamer looked like 20 years later:)

barleye your stuff is cool, my jaded outlook comes from the ridiculous prices people pay for stuff on eBay. good for me, I suppose, if I ever clear out the vault.

Wish I could glue a piece of ABS on the bottom of a board and get $800 for it...that beam don't do doodley squat, except as a center skid plate. Its all in the name, I guess. I come to the conclusion the only way I'll get a flat, kicktail, pig board is to make one, can't afford any on eBay, even ones I don't like. I suppose I could sell my 11.25" Z-ply...

Regarding a VERY pricey single beamer on Ebay,While a beamer like that one looks unique,i know i've seen a pic of alan gelfand riding a single beamer,it was maybe even lighter, with the beam narrowing between the trucks.Since Stacey never through away a board I guess the aluminum skinned honeycomb deck will be on the auction block soon.

If this thing hasn't been sitting in someone's closet for the last 20 years, then someone's a good faker. I like the Upland stickers. If someone bought this and split it up, they should be shot. I suspect I won't have the $500+ bid to take it.

Herbn,
The Blackhart's were made by NHS. Novak, Haut and Sherman. Haut dropped out selling his intrest to the other two. Then Jay Sherman unfortunately died cancer. Novak bought his share from the family and still owns the company.
I don't know if Road Rider was pre-NHS, they were from the East Coast, maybe near you? NHS set a guy named Richard Metiver, (sp) up with the wheel production for OJs. I was talking about this with Jenny Hutson at Donner last year.

Were those parkriders? nah ,or OJ'S? i know they had with aluminum bearing seats, sort of a microcore. It was sort of the same co by then anyway.Roadrider was always NHS or was there a pre NHS, Roadrider(OJ?same deal?)might just have been a new partner, like OJ was the "S" in NHS.
