I have heard of these coming in silver plate as well as the gold plate but every pair I see seems to have nicks in them even though they are tauted as NOS. There is currently a set on eBay.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1828012719 My question is are these legit or are they the golds polished down like recently the old Trackers have been?

My brother still has his old Kryptonics deck. I think his is one of the narrower foamcores, about 8 inches. It has Fulltracks and maybe Powerflexes on it...he still rides it most every day, post office to get mail, etc. I'll try and get a picture of it to post this weekend.

Does anyone know the history of why these decks were produced and were there more than the one shape produced? How long after the last G&S Fibreflex were they made? Who was the designer? What could be regarded as its comparable competition?
Judging by the Fibreflex sticker placement, this would appear to be a rocker shaped deck rather than a reverse camber number. Would this be right?
As a Fibreflex fan, if anyone can answer these non-vintage, yet historical, questions then I would be very grateful.

eBay user "g-force-1" is none other than Eric "Arab" Groff. Just read through his eBay feedback (fantastic 270-0-0 rating, too bad he couldn't play by our rules, too):

I have yet to see a krytonics foam/fibreglass laminate from the 70's...(1979 to be exact) am I the only one who's got one? I heard they were easily trashed but mine seems almost indestructable..I believe it's 9.5 wide by about 30 long (don't have it at work here) but I've never seen one on E-bay or oldschool skates...just curious as to what happened to all those boards.

Great Vintage NOS out of a skate shop I owned in the 1970's. 27" Logan Earth Ski, Bruce Logan Model. 7" Tracker Trucks. 4 Quark wheels - 2.5" dia & 2" wide , these wheels are white and I have the bearings which were never even installed. The set-up also comes with hardware and spacer pads. Also, this comes in the original Logan Earth Ski Box. I want to sell this board all complete. The price for this never used or assembled set up is only 350.00. This is a vintage collection, must own !!!!!!1

ACS 500's and Stage II Indys

Hey, Wobble and Stevie B...
I've got one NOS set of ACS 500's with black bases and silver hangers, original bushings and pivots.
I think I also have one set left of the Indy Stage II's (with the soft-T-hangers) that are pretty well ground in 166 size. I MAY...MAY...also have a rare set of 146mm Stage 1's (with TRUE T-hangers) in the same ground condition, but I need to rummage through my Indy box to see if I still have them.
Trades are good, but cash is better. Drop me a line, I'll send pix, and make me an offer.
-=S=-
ps...I still am looking for one Bennett Pro Ad-track hanger and one pair of GUC Sims Green Snakes Flatbacks. A pair of GUC RR6's are yours for the above trade!
