I live in hawaii and love to downhill skate. i currently ride a 47" sector nine but have decided to change over to a 37" standard board configuration that i can learn to slide and take cornners with. because of the growing amount of daily traffic here i need to be more versitile. i went to ride down my standard start off hill and found it very difficult to make the transition in boards. of course i'll keep trying untill i figure it out, but i'm always open to new tips. If anyboby wants to pass some my way feel free to email. untill then ALOHA!!!

Jeremy,
Heelies and Frogstands are tricks from the 60s.
1. A Heelie is when the rider stands on the nose backwards and does a Wheelie. ( a backwards standing Nose Wheelie).
2. A Frogstand is a Handstand with your knees resting on your Triceps just above the elbow.

Yes. I just got a dedicated server with 300 gigs of bandwidth a month last week. I'm in the process of getting my file system set up and getting everything transfered over. If all goes well, the site should be up to full strength by the end of the month.

Yeah, you said that in the review. I've never seen any powell wheels.. They dont seem to sell them here, and im not old enough to remember the good ol' days when they were all that was available practiacally... Im only a youngster, got into freestyle after seening, i cant remember the guys name but he invented the seismic trucks, on tv pumping and doing multiple 360s.. Crazy stuff i said to my self, set about learning stuff off bobstricktips.com. Any luck on getting more space? Getting bored of 1+1/2 kickbacks....

The italian wheels are rad. They are about the same dimensions as the old Powell Freestyle wheels. They have a nice core, which seems to make them lighter.
I talked to YOYO about them. He said the Italians are just amazing with plastics and molds, and it shows.

Lexx, I have YOYO's deck and recommend it. I use Powell Peralta Freestyle wheels which work great with 7.5" trucks. The Powell wheels can be bought online (email me if your interested and I'll point you to the website if you can't find them) or you can try the reverse freestyle wheels which I'm sure would work fine.

Eastcoast Skates.com has some freestyle decks. http://www.eastcoastskates.com They have 2 of their own and the Sherwood 2002 Pro. I believe they ship to the UK, but it may cost you a few extra pounds. It may be worth it since there isn't really anywhere else. Reverse Freestyle also sells freestyle decks. http://www.reversefreestyle.com YoYo also sells freestyle decks. http://www.yoyoskates.com There was a pretty good review of one at Bob's Trick Tips. http://www.bobstricktips.com/

I really want the new capital USA pro model! Sadly I cant find any where that sells freestyle decks. I live in shouth wales UK, and all they sell is street boards.. I really like the bi-directional shape, flat rails and shorter wheel base.. I just need to find some where that sells them...

you need to try out different boards and find out which one or ones feel right to you,noone is going to be able to tell you which one is right for you because they are not you,I think the new street boards work just fine for freestyle,I had two of the OSS freestyle boards before they were the tommy harward pro model,But now i find it easier to skate the modern shaped boards(popsickle sticks).there are some tricks i can only do on a single kick .if the skaters around you cant appreciate freestyle then dont skate with them,forget them,why should they care if your wasting your time its YOUR time

thanks Chris S for the help! both those decks look really nice. i'm going to try ro get both of them so i'll have two. i hope i do get them because i'm kind of tired of riding regular street decks and people always think i suck or something because there's no grind marks on them! then they think i'm some weird-o because all i do is skate around this parking lot doing wheelies and stuff, they say i'm wasting my time. i always have scratches on the bottom of my board because i like to do curb-crawls. i also talk to factory13 and they said they could custom make me one. they also make freestyle boards, you guys sould check them out.

I purchased the 2002 Sherwood Pro deck awhile back, and I like it. It took me quite some time to find a place that sells freestyle decks, and after the wait, I wasn't disappointed. I just got into freestyle, so I don't really have any means of comparison, but I would say it is a good deck. I like the bi-directional design, and the graphic is pretty cool. When I get into more advanced stuff, the bi-directional design might help me out when trying to pull of some different types of tricks. After letting some of my friends ride around on this board, I have received a lot of good comments. A lot of people like the size and how this makes it easier to do flip tricks. Some more comments related to the bi-directional design and how they liked it.

I'd be real surprised if either one went very high, and both are new old stock. Used stuff should go even lower. I'm not saying that either of these is the right board for you, but they're the type of thing that doesn't bring a lot of money.
