I have made this call All who would like to save Carlsbad should make the same call. Carlsbad has an ordinance which says"In preserving valuable elements of Carlsbad's historical character, sites or structures can be designated as historical sites or structures. Call the Historical preservation Commission at 760-602-2012. The state of California has a similar ordinance. I don't know who you would call there but I am sure the group could find out. I really think you might have more luck with the state.

Hello everyone,
In an attempt to improve the judging of vert contest, I would like to request that each of you, (if you can and are willing) send me a list of vert tricks in order of difficulty all based on your opinion.
I know that the list will be long, but if you could take some time to give input on this I believe that the end results will help to benefit the understanding that the judges will have. I hope to organize the list based on everyone’s input and then show everyone the result. Once we come up with a list that is agreed upon, we can incorporate an official degree of difficulty list.
If you would like to comment on the height of airs or amplitude, please do as they relate to difficulty. Any other feed back is also welcome.
I look forward to your list or suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Don Bostick

Nice pics, BBB. If you come out to coloRADo, you have to check out the new Louisville park (right between Boulder and Denver). Word is that there's a new concrete park in the works in the same city that the old (indoor) Vans park was in.

This is our new Milford, CT skatepark, which is more or less just a 4,000 square foot "feature". A feature with nearly everything and a slingshot pool-style bowl at the far end. How many cones would it fit - 6 or 7? Would it be fun to stage a banked slalom event here? We're talking summer timeframe, me & the ymca, that is. And a freestyle bowl competition the same weekend.

What Chris said.
Right near I-5 too. The first pipe/capsule in Washington, needless to say we're all stoked! Some of us have traveled thousands of miles just to ride pipes, and rad structures such as this. Not necessary anymore! Thanks to Grindline for another master piece.
Chris should be patted on the back. His town was planning on putting up one of those crappy prefab skateparks. And now look at what he's got!!! He's just one man, but he got it done. Great Job Chris, and Grindline!
Keep on those cities!!!

If it's raining, it must be grand opening day. But the lousy weather didn't keep the people from seeing Washington's first full pipe in action. More pics here.
