On 8/15/2005 Randifer wrote in from United States  (216.115.nnn.nnn) My first park was Pivot Point in Riverside back in 1978, I am sure it was copied from the Concrete Wave... then to Skatopia. Mark and I used to go up there when we lived in San Jose. It was heaven at the time. Interesting anecdote. That was my first ever skatepark as a kid. I used to go there on the weekends as a kid visiting my Grandparents. My Grandpa had a boat yard by there. Ed Economy had a bunch of Montebello pics on his site, but that seems to have disappeared? There's some Skatopia footage in "Skateboard Kings", which is a BBC documentary from about '77 (and was a source of footage for Dogtown and Z-Boys), and that one shows up on ebay all the time (but usually low quality dubs). There's lots of old park footage in "The Rebirth of Skateparks" (available at SoCalSkateparks.com...     Rate post 212493 !
