The Langer was true grit. Balls out. The guy earned his $2000 that day. That course was a leg crusher and lung burner. 50 seconds of real work, with lots of objective hazards. Ask anyone who ran the course what happened when they completed their run - they were close to puking or passing out (except for Lange who was already unconscious, and PALMER (DQ) who took time to focus his board before puking).
Thanks for the doc-u-drama Stubbs. And thanks for representing the Lone Star State at the heaviest event of the year.
See you next year.

Great time in Albq. Terrible the man kicked us off Indian School. But nobody complained. What a great stoke. Even when the timer missed some guys, nobody complained.
I would like to get some pics of the gnarly ditch rash of the winner. When the timer at the bottom called me and said "Hold all riders until we can move the body out of the ditch" I knew it was bad. And he won...
Nice job GBM and Joe.

Hey Alex, I've been scouting, scoping, and mapping good spots here in ABQ for the last decade. Send me an e-mail, let's get a dialogue going, so that when you move to town, we can hook up and ride.

Hey Mark J. - Mark J. here,
there are some ditches on Horizon Ridge in Henderson. they're pretty long, but have no real pitch.
take eastern south to horizon ridge and make a right. if you do come across any skateable garages please let me know. i'd love to hook up with you guys when you skate, but don't know if i'll be in town this weekend.

HUGE RAISED FIST to George, GI JOE, Palmer and the group of volunteers that put together a great weekend of racing and comradery. We are truly blessed to be able to get together away from our separate lives for a common goal and cause. SKATEBOARDING.
This OUTLAW race weekend will be remembered as one of the best. I will most definitely be in attendance next year. I want to also thank my fellow skaters for making the Florida crew (Kelly Lynn and I) feel so welcomed at this race. We made new friends and old friendships stronger.

Just back from a few days of decompression with PALMER, the Fla crew, S9 and SMA in Colorado. It worked and we had a riot.
Thanks to all the crew that made the race a success. All the locals, GI Joe and clan, JC, and all the heads. Thanks to the out of town crew who helped run the event, including Stubbs and Womble. Getting shut down by the man and moving the event was unprecedented. Lots of lessons were learned on how to put on an Outlaw Event, including how illegal parking and general crowding makes the local homeowners uneasy.... Thank you Joe Lehm for talking with John Law and giving me the verbal ammo to spar with them in the future.
To all the racers - Thanks. You were part of an incredible event. See you next year. I appreciate your support.
To all the wankers who signed up and didn't show up - piss off. Don't bother signing up for next years event. Don't waste our time or your key strokes. We don't need your money or false bravado.
The Marshall has left the building.

Miller asked: "How long is it until the RBBS series starts up again??"
That's a good question. The answer is: After a major shovel session or the next big rain, which ever comes first. Have you seen it since they started landscaping next to the bike trail? The entire flatbottom was completely covered in dirt and gravel all the way from the top to that first bridge last time I was there, a week before the IS race.
Got shovels???

I wanna thank all the people who put on ABQ for the best weekend of my life. Im fully convinced that ABQ is the ultimate skateboard retirment plan..... When your so old that all you can do is turn a skateboard, move to ABQ and make some turns down some ditches!!!
It took our crew 13 hours to get there and 15 hours back in a 4 person car with 5 people plus equipment but we made it and it was all worth while. from now on no matter how i get there i will not miss another ABQ event. I will never forget that sundays sesh at indian school with hacket, chicken, masey, mitchel, brunson and all the abq locals. once again cheers to those who made it happen.
Also: Chicken, farid, mclaren, and anyone else who snaped some photos of me please contact me, id like to get some copies.

This was surely the BEST race venue EVER due to the vibe, stoke and sportsmanship displayed by both locals and visitors alike.......ABQ ROCKS for endless fun in pool, ditch and park forms. To anyone who has not yet made NM, GET THERE!
I'm very proud of Russell, who was awarded the MostAgressiveRipper at the ripe, young age of 14. He set his mind to perform at the level of his pro mentors and he rose both phyisically and metally to accomplish that, especially when he made the stairs at Palmers!?
Lastly, a huge kudos to the Sector9 crowd for supplying Russell with equipment when it was so needed to keep his stoked intact. Palmer, YOU RULE way more than just ThePool!

What a weekend.
Joe, you did it again. We are so fortunate to have you here putting on these things. The bear rocked again. I love that ditch! You are the best.
Marshall & PALMER, You guys put on one helluva party. 1st class race all the way!! Awesome course at Indian school. Sucks that the heat came down. Nice back-up location. I know you put in a lot of time setting up that course. Lets run it in a couple of weeks. $10.00 buy in, no prizes, all $$ go to the beer and BBQ afterwords, Glory to the winner. You guys put on a helluva weekend. That may have been the highlight of the Summer. I have never seen money, prizes & schwag like that. You guys rule!!
Will. Dude, you SMOKED IT!!!
Wipe out guy, AWESOME win at Carmel!! I was standing at the finish line when the unfortunate incident happened. It was Farging UNBELIEVABLE!!
What a crew we had there. Everyone was charging. I was totally stoked to be within .05 seconds of Hackett after the first Bear run. Then I got like .2 seconds faster on my next, but he dropped like .8 seconds off his time and was gone. Oh well.
22 people under 20 seconds at the bear. No easy wins there. Great group of riders. There was that one dude up on the nose while grinding the lip at the bear. Nice. JC, the bear got fed again. Dude, you do a great job at these events. You are totally appreciated.
My injuries are healing nicely (nothing like the 1st crack of a scab in the morning). How long is it until the RBBS series starts up again??

yea,the roll in ditch has water flowin' through it right now but no worries it will dry.once the water level drops from the nearby lake all it will need is some shoveling of dirt and a good sweeping. thats the price we ditch skaters have to pay.more info. on the location after it dries and the founders rip it some more. be safe my friends.
