Mike, Will boxers or briefs make me go faster? Boxers in a GS couse? Briefs in a butt wiggler? We all know about Nature boy Kenny.

Well John... did you wear them? The are a FAST color! (methinks Judi's bustin' yer chops there bro.)
Had a nice hybrid session in glorious weather with John Kim and "the new guy" Andrew Hoover. (yet another UCSC guy with a Landyachtz Race III. Popular board with the college crowd I guess?)
Then we hit it up to a carving hill for some free-riding. It's great to be meeting a few more Santa Cruz riders!

John,
I'll show up if your wearing those red sexy sweat pants! You would of been streaking fast last weekend at the Gravity Fest. Our old skate site looks pale in comparison now. See you next week, lets skate together before Breck! Tell Molly Hi.

Crew, looks like I'll be able to make it to the park around 4pm on Sunday. If anyone is still around, I'll be skating there for a while. I'm planning on setting a true tight course in preparation for the tight in Breck which is suppose to be on the order of 5.5 feet and maybe even tighter.

Miko, I'm ON for Breck. Got my flight taken care of so far. I don't think I'll be skating at Shoreline...I'm planning on starting a weekly gathering up here in the city a couple times a week. I just gotta find a spot to do it.
JG, hit two cones, no penalty...hit three, DQ. I picked as did others, two cones to hit on every run. I know Richy did the same.

Hey JG! Are you talkin' to ME? 8-)
Still stoked, and did criddle a bit, but I think bragging rights end about 1 week after any given race... enjoying it while I still can!

This is so cool! Now we're moving on over to tight slalom... Have fun up there gang!
Can't make it to GGP sunday, but I'm setting a (new) tight course (or 2) sunday down here (not at E!)
Maybe we can meet in the middle next week at Shoreline?
So Mike... are you ON for Breck? It's still pretty bleak for me, but I'm hoping for a miracle.

David, I took that check straight to my stock broker!! heh
Ravich, I'm sorry to say (sort of) that I might be going camping this weekend. However all is not lost. Sirie has to be back so she can work a little on Sunday, so we'll be back in town on Sunday but as far as making that early morning session...I don't know right now. We were suppose to talk it over last night but got caught up watching Pulp Fiction for the gazillionanth time (it's still as good as the first time!) Anyway, I DO want to skate on Sunday but at this point I'm thinking it might have to be an afternoon session for me. I'd like to get over there and show you and the NorCal crew some TIGHT slalom!! heh...if you thought the last course I set was tight, I've got something to show you. GGP is a perfect hill to practice for the hill that the tight will be run on in Breck. I'll keep you and everyone else informed as to when I'll be able to be there.

had a great time at the gravity fest, i thought i did fairly good considering i did'nt even practice. the hill was fast and steep, and the pavement was not nice. i ate it on my last run in the foot-brake area, ironically after Eric T. compliments me how controlled i was when i was footbraking.
mike, way to go, 2nd place on your custom plank...so what did you spend your winnings on?
i should have some pics up from the grav fest in a week or so on my site

In honor of Mother's Day, we are having a 8:30 AM session at GGP.
Get there early for some fun with Mike - the mother of all racers.
Note: South Bay and SC gang, let's roll - the altitude is almost 37' higher in SF, perfect for Breck altitude cardio training!

Scratch that... NO riding at E this weekend. We're staying cool til closer to Breck! We have another spot that you haven't ridden though that's pretty good. I'll call you to talk tomorrow. Still willing to show you some sliding stuff as well.

Hey John... if you come down to 'E' for some slalom sunday am, I'd be happy to work on it with you... We could put older wheels on the slalom decks just so you'd get the hang of it on your race board.

Hey HC,
I finally agree with you. Footbraking at the SF Fest was sketchy and downright dangerous. Never slalomed on a hill where the runnout was so nasty. Seemed like everyone was having a rough time stopping before the iron gate at the bottom of the road, except for those of you who were Coleman sliding it out. Even saw Miko (open 1st place) eat it once into the wooden fence trying to footbrake during a practice run.
Gotta learn to slide... HC or Cliff, you guys up for giving a sliding clinic for us footbraking slalomers????
