30 foot quarter pipe, and 18 feet of air, straight to flatbottom...
I was on the phone with a bro who was there on the arena floor at the time it happened...he said the place went silent for the whole time he was out...
that was as memorable of an image as the Theisman break was on that Monday night probably 20 years ago..(anybody else remember that?)

The Buckeye saw some slams but nothing like Jake Brown at the X-Games Big Air Ramp. After landing a 720 over the 70 gap jump he got the wobbles going up the quarter pipe and got pitched and landed on the flat bottom. he had to have dropped about 25 feet onto his back and hip. He was out for awhile but walked off the ramp. Made me sick to my stomach.

I am out. That kinda sucked, but it was my fault I think. The wound did not get the proper attention. The doc did not tell me much. It got dirty and infected. Two days of I.V. antibiotics worked.
It was fun the first two days. I snuck home on Friday night and had a quick dinner with Ryder. I told them I went out front for some fresh air.
Thanks for calling and keeping me company.
Thanks to Jessie and Emily for firing me up on Thursday night.
Yesterday Ethan, Ryder, Jessie and Emily put together a bunch of new boards. Lookout, team Buckeye is on the loose !!!!

I already called corporate headquarters about the whole rude staff, the filthy room-- bed bugs included. And oh, not to mention, when I was checking the room for items I may have left behind before checking out, I found a dirty diaper behind the tv stand/dresser.
They will review my complaint & get back to me by mail within 15 days.
In the meantime I have disputed the whole charge on my credit card & if I can't get a voucher for equal days I paid for at another Motel 6 property, I will do a chargeback on my credit card & not pay them a dime! So there!
I know Mrs. McLaren & a few others have already complained.
Lynn Kramer and Eric checked out and went to a different hotel.
That guy on the balcony was a joke.
I can't believe the Mitchell's got kicked out & not the toothless, ex-bullrider/horsetrainer who was so drunk, he almost fell off the balcony.
I suggest all of you who had trouble, call the corporate complaint number
1-800-577-3435.

Here's one last Motel 666 story to cap off the Buck Weekend...

needless to say, with in 10 minutes the cops show up to "escort" jason me and our puppy outta the motel 6 in grove city ohio they took down our info and we have a warning that if we as much as step foot onto the property we will be arrested for trespassing. We are forever banned from that motel. FOR LIFE!
the cops' face was priceless as he approached the door.
He leans in and says "Ma'am, who is being kicked out of this motel?
I say "Me and my husband and my doggie."
He replies, "really, well THAT certainly would not have been my first guess"
go figure, with all the other crap that went on that weekend, team mitchell gets the boot for asking the manager if he was an ass#@! (which he replied to nonetheless)

Wow.....Cat....hopefully our dear friend Kenny doesn't get a case of the sniffles like Cindy while in the hospital, then we might have to chip in and get him a bell to ring. Better yet, when he makes it back home, hopefully Ethan doesn't topple him with a mattress at the bottom of his stairs. Ahhh...I can see it now, Kenny returns home and kisses his wife, seeing firworks after the kiss like Peter...hahahha.....glad ur alright Kenny.......

He was watching "The Brady Bunch, Hawaii Bound" in the hospital--- if I'm not mistaken, Mike Lookinland, aka Bobby Brady, won the Oscar that year (1972) for best male actor.
Oh, that scene where he finds the ancient tiki that brings bad luck to whomever is holding it....... Classic! What acting!
