Happy Birthday Bro! Glad to hear things are going better!
Hey, I know you are not going to throw the full on Buckeye this year but man throw some kind of race. Skybus has come to Greensboro and you can fly round trip to Columbus for like $70 round trip! ....Same for coming here!
Come on man...let's use that hill some this year!!!!!

Turned 43 today and went snowboarding for the 12 time this winter. I only ride for 1 hour at a time, but it felt good. Carving some tight radius turns that would make CMC and Gilmour quit.
This year has already been better than last.

Ken - We'll save a spot on the podium for you just in case. We will absolutely be learning from all the races prior... We'll be doing the 5 man heat thing fer sure, and keeping the situation as chill as possible. And we probably won't have cone heads in orange vests lurking about. It will be a haul ass course again, the triple-ups will be gone, but some fresh (fast) surprises await. We may be able to run earlier, although it would be pretty tough getting the course set in the dark; but not a bad idea.
Thanks for the input; we'll see you in April.

Not yet George. Still sore, stiff, limpy and icing everyday. But its getting better slowly. I'll bet ready to ride by then, but not sure about racing. This one put me down hard. I am sure I could beat the slow guys like Biker, but not sure about the PPS guys like Brunson, Mitchell and Fadell. Those PPS guys sure seem to dominate the Indian School !!!
Hell yes I will be there. Win? Doubt it. Podium? Maybe? Race with water? Probably not.
My suggestions.
Start race at 7 am sharp. Have people meet at the footbridge. Make racers walk up at five at a time. Anyone drinking beer or smoking weed in the open should be kicked out no questions.
That way we can beat the wind and stay clear of the cops. Every year, its the big group at the top of the hill that gets us busted. The earlier the better for wind and cops. Small groups at the top of the hill. Good behavior = Less bust/more fair racing. Early = less water.
What do you think about that. I know its your show, but we could learn from past mistakes.

After years of testing, the new Nature Boy Ninja 7's are in. They are pretty much just regular 7's, which are the fastest non-ceramic bearing on the planet.
Thanks Mike and J.D. Sorge for including me on team Ninja. Its a real honor.
Congrats to Jason Mitchell for the Concrete Wave cover !!!! I just saw it this morning on the PPS website. My subscription has had problems since 2001, and the local book store near my house went out of business. Killer shot Jason. Front cover !!!! Slalom? How cool is that.

I ended up getting the one on the left. Enduro package. Honda CF 230L. Its got head/tail lights, horn, emissions package, electric start. It will be fine for me. I knew I could NOT keep it off the street no matter how hard I tried.

It was a bitchn' day a Pillar Point, although the waves didn't seem as big as previous contests!

They pooled the prize money and split it 6 ways.

Pat, that contest looks sick. I guess Maverick's was huge also, but we have been working on the house.
The old part of the house need a makeover with new crown molding, trim, etc. Its really coming along.

Big surf up in Oregon this weekend

Kenny,
Thought you might like to know that BIG surf is up this weekend in Oregon. They are "green light" for the Nelscott Reef Tow-in Classic since the waves are predicted to be above the minimum 30-feet high for the contest. They are supposed to be 40-feet high, but without the normal 60-mph winds that produce the waves.
Waves this big, they have to tow into using jet-skis.
Hopefully I can get some pics, but it's hard to do from shore (and no, there's NO WAY I'm going in that water).
