Well I enjoyed the movie, good to catch up with so many older skaters. The film really shows the danger of Neon exposure, and wasnt Jason Jesse great? The QandA session after was interesting, look out for a DVD with more skating in it. Any way, see you all soon again I hope.

Will be there but doubt that I'll be skating. I'll probably be in the NFT bar getting some pre-film lubrication. Is anybody going to the post-screening party on the boat?

new park in plymouth

i don't know anything about this, i just stumbled accross the story whilst looking for something else, but if you live in/around Plymouth it may be worth emailing over your thoughts on park design (i.e. bowls, flow etc) just in case the local council's ears are being bent by 12 year old wannabe kickflippers. if anyone does know about it can you either mail me or post here, i'm curious to hear whats being planned...
Dated 4/11
Young people in Plymouth are being urged to judge plans for a new skate board facility. Hundreds of youths in the city are expected to welcome Plymouth City Council's skate board park project in central park, which is gaining momentum with different design ideas being advertised this week.
The city council has been working with Plymouth Ramp Sports Forum to develop plans for the youth park next to the Central Park swimming pool and adventure playground.
It is hoped building work will begin in the New Year, subject to planning permission and final confirmation of National Lottery funding worth £100,000.
The city council is contributing £60,000 towards the facility and the Ramp Forum organised a skatepark marathon to raise an extra £1,000.
Ideas for the skate park should be sent by e-mail to rampforum@plymouth.gov.uk

Hey Boys + Girls.....Hope your all well, haven't been sk8ing or posting lately between the 3 jobs I have and the busted ankle the back end of this year has been a bummer sk8ing wise!
Here is the reason for the posting, I have been asked by a friend of mine (Spud @ K8 sk8's) to try and track down a name of a board he rode last week......it was an all plastic board with a fish tail BUT he said it felt like a Pro board, it had big wide wheels on it and 'Reflex' trucks - He thinks any way - He says he was amazed at the way this board moved and that it must ave mbeen a Pro board so no suggestions that it was a veriflex......hope someone out there can help.............

FCR Worlds will be October 8th, 9th and 10th. Morro Bay and other local venues.
Put that in your diary! I am SO looking forward to it. Remember, the Open Tight has been won by Paul Price, and er...Me, so we really want another Brit to go for it. I'll be racing the pro's but what I really plan on doing is assisting ANY UK skater who comes out for the race. I can guarentee that you'll get the best wheels for every course and all the beckup you need.
So who'd up for it? Sam, Ed, Paul...how about one of the Lukes, Jason...???
This years race was fantastic, and Morro is pretty easy to get to. See you there???

This is better than HP. The pat to the side of the road is smooth tarmac and on a slope (slight) This is good enought to do slalomm on. The road is in use by emergency services but there is a good central lane. The road from Parliment square to Buck Pal is also good.
