Just to say what a great day i had on sunday,

thanks go to Jim Slater and Denise, for giving me the lift.

Well done to Paul Price for winning.

shame about the timing, but i did enjoy the double elimination system, meaning us 1st round losers got some extra runs in. on the timing front the news is GOOD....i have been able to fix it!! so it should be in good shape for the future.

all the best

Paul K

BTW Could Paul (caterham 7) drop me a mail..Ta

What a great days racing.
It's a shame about the timing gear going haywire but it did make for an exciting days racing.
Great to see Sparker and Emer as well.
Sounds like you had a good trip.

Chris Eggers, I now know how frustrating it is to be so close but yet so far behind.........The Stideanator!
I'll get you my pretty.......
Great to see so many faces that said they would'nt be there.
Paul Butler..you don't know this but you came joint 3rd with Me. Well done mate.

Had a total blast at Eastbourne!

Thanks to everyone involved for a great weekend.

Thanks to Leon and Lucy for good company all weekend. (Although Leons plan to give some people a hangover for race day seemed to backfire a little bit.)

Cheers to Clingfilm for organising the whole shooting match and cheers to Michael Stride for supplying endless amounts of new toys for us to play with.

See y'all at a race soon.

Great day at Eastbourne yesterday. It was good to put faces to some of the names I keep seeing in this forum!

Thanks to all involved. (Special thanks to Paul who manned the "photo finish" camera and to the cone patrol crew - I counted 42 cones in each lane!)

Graham.

Slalom in Milton Keynes area?
On 7/25/2003 Oc1rob wrote in from (62.180.nnn.nnn)

Does anybody do any slalom in or close to Milton Keynes?
It's something I have never tried and would like to give a go at, at somepoint.
Got no slalom Kit or clue but I guess seeing some and chatting to people might get me heading in the right direction.
Hyde park just is a non starter as is an evening on the south coast as each would take me about 3 hours to get to if not longer at those times!

Michael,
Thanks. Next Friday will be a tad difficult:

(New house + Packing cases) x Wife + 2 kids = No skating.

But assuming it's every two weeks. I will definitely be there. My 11 year old may want to come along too, if that's okay. I am also dusting off milady's vintage Alpine Sports rollerskates, in anticipation of her joining me on the seafront for a trundle.

See y'all this weekend.

Clingfilm,
Give me a shout on 07989332742 if you want a hand setting up.

Great to see so many people last night, all the Jims, a plethora of Pauls... evryone else, Annie-Mae giving us all a laugh, and especially new attendees.
Next time I will bring a set of cones just for the newer guys and I think a simple coaching session might be in order...Paul Price, you up for that? Mr Teacher man? Nothing heavy.
Anyway, great to see so many people last night.

Wow, is the same skatepark that was in Bournemouth in 1978?
If it was I used to be there ALL the time- this is like finding out that the Skate City is still there....or that Alpine Sports is still going!
Weather permitting I'm going Saturday, first thing!

Well those links sort of worked but the labeling is all bollocks, the first is to the sk8m8 page, the second to the multimap ariel photo...

One more try at getting a link right...

Did that work?...

I've been trying to find this for a while as I try to visit as much old concrete as possible, the fact that Bournemouth doesn't exist in sk8m8.com's database made this kind of difficult but a bit of messing with Google's cache of the old site pointed at this:

The ariel photo mode the 'local map' kind of confirms where it is:

I think i'll be programming the coordinates into my GPS.
