Can't wait to skate with you again, just like old times!

Jim McDonnell- Thanks Jim for the kind words, it was a pleasure having you guys out here in France. See you at Hove/Brands.

Martin.
ps. I am MUCH slower than I used to be in the old days....

Ian it would be cool if I could borrow them. cheers dude.

I just want to say thanks to all who posted support a few weeks ago regarding my injury.
Cheers guys the support made me re-think selling all my gear and (along with painkillers) made the pain ease.

I think Monday I will be able to (finally) get back on a board. Thanks again. Just gutted I missed Watly jam.

For the record, I'd just like to say -

Martin Drayton ROCKS. He shall be our new God.

A one of a kind, all-round, good guy, cheeky chap and gifted
teacher. Cheers for a fantastic week.

ps I may well be getting quicker, but until I develop some
sort of sense of rhythm no-one needs to feel threatened.

Milton Keynes Skatepark consultation
On 8/22/2003 Stretch wrote in from (194.168.nnn.nnn)

Have had a response (below) from the Council regarding the new park planned for Milton Keynes, anyone interested in putting forward their opinion is welcome to go along to this meeting and please shout out "Concrete" to any questions regarding surface.

" John, Thank you for your email, which has been passed to me as I am running the SK8MK project. We are proposing new facilities at Station Square and at the Bus Station.
These will be modular and probably concrete construction because the areas they are occupying will be redeveloped over the next ten years, so it is necessary to have facilities that can be relocated in the future.
However this is just a small part of the future street sport facilities in Central Milton Keynes, which is likely to include a bowl similar to the one in Perth. I am visiting Perth next week to visit the park and meet the Landscape Architect who designed the facilities there, we are also taking a group of skaters and BMXers to ride the facility, and they will be meeting other young people who were involved in the provision of skate facilities in their
areas.

You are welcome to attend our next design meeting which is being held at the
Civic Offices in Central Milton Keynes on Wednesday 3rd September at 6.30pm".

Hove tonight
On 8/22/2003 Michael wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

Oh yes....I'll be there. 5 ish onwards... The Hyde Park and Hove sessions are nearly popular enough that if you all buy one cone you'll get a course going between you. They double up as great flea collars for small poodles.

And... I'm not on holiday, just went to Cornwall and Devon to sell schtuff, and assemble setups in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Cones
On 8/21/2003 Sam G wrote in from (193.203.nnn.nnn)

Ian, I'll probably be in Hyde Park at 5:30. Bringing your cones would be a top move! I've just done an emergency recce of the Soho area and found that I can get 50 soccer discs for £15.99 (windproof but jam the wheels), shatterproof flowerpots at 40p a throw or 100 plastic cups for £1.99. The local street vendors' wares I didn't investigate too closely. This time. Let me know what you're doing.
