Hove. Can't wait. 5.30 ish anyone?

Brands. Can't wait. 53mph ish anuone?

Sam. Go to entrance. Tell people on the gate you are a skater. Follow road to the right, all the way over two bridges. The second bridge is over the slalom hill.
Should you find yourself being overtaking by bikes, lorries or race cars you are on the race track.
Should you find yourself being overtaken by me, your on the slalom course.

See you all this weekend. I have a secret truck from Japan on my board. Nice.

Gnarly Dude Comp
On 9/4/2003 PoolHog wrote in from (80.1.nnn.nnn)

Howdy,
How about a plastic cup sticking comp on the day? Certain members of Middle Age Shred will know what I mean! Free to enter and bags of fun!
Ian, I'd go for the Bulldog Double Conicals meself, especially if you're going for a bigger size. The coned edge makes it easier to pull grinds back in. The harder one's are good and fast as well, I personally found the NoSkools to be a bit "sucky" and over grippy, but that's just my opinion. I'd suggest wait till you've tried both, there's always someone around with either of those wheels set up.

Brands Hatch

This is probably a question that has been asked just before Brands Hatch 1 2003, but how easy is it to locate the competition area once at the racetrack?

http://www.octagonmotorsports.com/

I found little on the 'search' feature and am prone to getting lost should the opportunity arise.

PS: HP@5:50. PPS: Ed, like the sound of that snakeskin...

Hove tomorrow is a definite maybe as I am off work. Mat, if you are going we could meet up.

On a different matter altogether has anyone got any views on bulldog double conicals against Noskools?

Brands
On 9/4/2003 Clingfilm wrote in from (195.195.nnn.nnn)

Brands is a comp, as it is the only way i can raise the money to pay for it, last time £150, plus whiskey.
However we do plan courses at the back straight for beginners, and they are also welcome to join in events for free.
Last time only the H2H happened, this time GS has the priority, which are easier courses.
If you want to make it a fun day, just enter and don't look at your times.

Chris

10.00 am start
5.00 pm finish

Can someone tell me what time Brands is likely to finish this weekend? I'm trying to plan post-skating activities.

Michael - could you bring that RTX 129 on the day as I'd like to ride it instead of my Seismic? Thanks.

See you all on The Hill -

not sure!!
On 9/3/2003 Paul K wrote in from (195.110.nnn.nnn)

Not sure if this is the place to communicate at the moment

perhaps a migration to the "other place" for a local hook is required for the time being

that is until the "dark times" pass over again.

Assumng the weather is OK, which is the current Forecast for tommorrow

HP as usual i guess.....

I have not written anything on here for a while, just to say I had to close my skate shop due to poor sales and too many kids giving the sport up,but i can still get hold of stuff especially those red kryps.
Anyway re the the title of this message "CHLORINE" if you have not seen this film buy it!!
It's a great follow on to "DOGTOWN" it's all about backyard pool skating.
Stretch will you be at Epic on the 4th oct?

A Pleasing Experience
On 9/1/2003 Craig wrote in from (217.44.nnn.nnn)

I'm a lucky lad - I've just had a longboard deck made by 'Longboards by Fatboy' in the USA. The 'Chilipepper' deck is a 'work of art' However, I write because the whole process was 'so sweet'!

'Longboards by Fatboy' E-mailed me every couple of days with progress reports and even sent pictures of the deck in the painting shop! They also sent me a T-Shirt and some spacer pads because the staff had a couple of days off so they could attend the Oz-Fest delaying the posting of the deck to me by a day or so!

A happy process from beginning to end! Sums up the longboard scene today!!!

Solidarity to Brothers Warbo and Stride,

Scared at thy frown terrific, fly
Self-pleasing Folly's idle brood,
Wild Laughter, Noise, and thoughtless Joy,
And leave us leisure to be good.
Light they disperse, and with them go
The summer Friend, the flatt'ring Foe;
By vain Prosperity received,
To her they vow their truth, and are again believed

HERE
On 9/1/2003 jonnyx wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

hi kids
i'm done with this site, the so-called moderation is a joke, unless you toe the party line and support the status quo there is no place for any of you here.
my posts on slalom forum are being pulled for no reason other than the content is not entirely positive about arab, or that the post is in a language the moderator does not understand.talk about imposing your limitations on others. now posts which have no reference to him are being pulled too. repeat anonymous posts remain yet mine are removed. i'm gonna try and find out just who does moderate this area cos thay need exposing big time fekin clowns.
you wont see me no more round here i'm off to riderz.net and d173.com you can find me there but you will have to speak french. i have lost all respect for this site and , frankly, anyone who deigns to use it.
goodbye
