Good one PK!!!! I'd love a copy. I dont have sat TV. They wont do a QVC only package. I'll let you look at Kennys Breckenridge DVD which has one of the funniest sequences involving running through an apartment to film both ends of a race. My only previous appearance on satellite TV was on a bloopers programme where my falls were recorded. I was mountain boarding for the first time....honestly.

Congrats to Edwin for his double headed win yesterday! Man on a mission. And to Leon and Ali Barr for their thirds...that sprint was hard work. Well done to Clingfilm for all his timing efforts. And also to Keith from Epic. An indoor skatepark with a slalom run...thats got to be fun.
I've been asked to organise another Death Race on the ramps before Christmas so we could do a similar little comp there again?

Skaters. Please be aware that Birmingham is in perpetual darkness this time of year and conditions may well be icy. Please pack shovels, and emergancy rations of food. I also have been warned that ostentatious displays of wealth, such as the wearing of shoes with soles, or hats other than flat caps can make the locals jealous and angry.
To skaters from Brighton, the wearing of your noraml team colours of pink with taffeta is definately not to be encouraged.

Just checking in to see if anything is scheduled for 2004 yet? It was great for us to go to Brands earlier this year and hope to do it again! Just got wind of some really cheap air fare but has to be booked by the end of the month. In general, want to plan ahead to make it to races in France and elsewhere -- especially if they are closely scheduled. If you know anything -- appreciate hearing about it. Cheers!

Well I have tried to contact Clingfilm with no luck. Nor has he contacted the organisers of Gnarly Dude, nor are there any details on the UKSSA website. I think he wanted some sort of meeting at 3 pm, but the slalom wont start before 5. I'll bung in a prize or two. It'll have to be a jam format whatever happens. Gnarly dude should be fun for everyone, hope to see as many of you there as possible. Epic Skatepark is pretty easy to get to.

Edwin, yes I am still interested in a lift if you have space. Where is a good pick up point or should I get over to your place? Thanks Ian
Sam, hope you got home alright, I did my usual trick of falling asleep and had to do some walking. Feel a bit rough this morning as well. Must have been a dodgy pork scratching. See you tomorrow

I was a top skater back in 1982, but fell into the wrong Queen's Arms. I tried a bit of self-service, but the locals pressed charges.
'Barefooted and wearing a t-shirt the unemployed father of four evaded electronic alarms and palace and police guards before disturbing the Queen by opening a curtain. In September 1982 Mr Fagan was acquitted of stealing wine from Buckingham Palace. The Queen was only able to raise the alarm when he asked for a cigarette.'

Twas in that VERY pub, in that VERY mews that I spent my first date with the future MrsW, many years ago. I'd originally gone there as her boozing buddy, assuming she'd be more interested in my friend, who was graduating from the RCA. When it turned out he was only staying for half-a-shandy, my life became infinitely better.

I need to leave by 5.15 ish....If HP isnt dry I can go straight to Pub?
How about that pub in Mayfair or the one in the Mews??? Queen's Arms
his pub is tucked out of site in a small mews not far from Hyde Park. The surrounding colleges explain the student population, but that's not the whole story. It's also a good place to meet before going to see something at the Albert Hall and shows the effects of major events like the Proms, spilling out into the hapless mews. That's when to avoid it. A lively place, the beer's okay and the harried staff managed to stay genial even after a long evening. I would imagine it's less busy during the day and on weekends, which would make it a good spot to meet off the beaten track in Kensington.
address: 30 Queens Gate Mews Kensington SW7 5QL rating: location: Knightsbridge clientele: Students, people going to the Albert hall phone: 020 7584 6900
How to get there: nearest tube(s): zone Gloucester Road 1 how to find it:
Leave Gloucester Road tube and turn left. cross at the lights and continue on up until you get to Queens Gate Terrace. Turn right and carry on until you reach a smaller left hand turning before a large one. This is Queens Gate Mews and the pub should be visible once you turn into it.

...the nearest pubs to HP Corner are:
The Grenadier: http://www.pubs.com/grensw1.htm It's a lovely pub down a small mews, but might be a little small and cramped if the weather is inclement.
The Nags Head: http://www.pubs.com/nagssw1.htm Frommers says: 'is where you go to escape tourists and hang with the locals. This quaint discovery is one of the most unspoiled pubs in London.' I've never been, but it sounds characterful and is not a huge trek from the Park. Good for dwarves, apparently.
The Star: http://www.pubs.com/starsw1.htm is a larger pub down a back mews that usually has enough space for butts and bags, but is a little further away.
...or the regular haunt behind the Albert Hall.
Personally, I'll drink in a storm ditch during a hurricane. Just don't make me stand.

I do indeed have a longish Roe Performance Series, sadly not for sale as it was my prize. I saw the S camber and its looking good, got some ordered. I beat Gareth on Friday Slalomcross by standing on the start ramp and saying.." I can't decide whether to order 1 or 100"...
Red Cambrias. Yep! Any idea where a beer might be had then?
