Leaving Montreal
On 10/24/2003 Pierre Gravel wrote in from (24.200.nnn.nnn)

The plan is to meet at Kebbek HQ in Dorval at around 7pm and leave for Ottawa at 8pm. Me and Dan in my car, Ian, his daughter and Duane in the wagon. Michel and Frank will meet us too. Nicolas (and his lil bro) from Sherbrooke, if you read this come meet us too.

Email me for directions to Kebbek's shop.

Mia do you want to join us in Dorval? (you could be our guide in Ottawa...)

JF was not able to have his weekend off from work so he's not gonna make it.

I want to extend a Big Thank you to Linda and everyone at tracker for getting me the soft bushings and some rear RT-S Trucks so I can have many boards set-up for newies at the Gathering this weekend.

I just got in from M & M Meat Shops and was given 11 packages of sausages (the big ones) for the BBQ afterwards on Saturday. The owner, Rob Thompson called to tell the manager Cathy Tuberi that he seen the broadcast on Tv last night.

Between the cop and paste (Okay and a few phone calls) i received some Swag from TimeShip Racing. Nice stuff! A BIG Thanks. Tell my Sista-Knuck I miss her.

Ye-Haw!!!!!!

Getting ready for "Many Happy Pumps".

I added the address to the Sports facility at for saturday's Mooney's Bay event. to the CC page. 2960 Riverside Dr. When you turn in to the location do not make the first right hand turn (that's later) continue forward and follow road to the parking area heading towards the beach.

Note. Both locations have Terry Fox in common. They are not near each other. One is a location for the Sports Facility on Riverside Dr. and the other is the Exit off the Queesnway/417. quite a ways away. west. just to make it a little more complicated/ easier depending on your perspective. From the Queesnway/417 you would take Riverside Dr. exit and head south to MB.

Feel better now?

Pierre and others(from Montreal)you take the 417 and Exit at Walkley (head west)at the end you make a right and you will make your 1st left at the top of the hill. you'll see us.

If your coming to my place take the Walkley EXIT (head west)make a left on walkley. Make a left on Hawthorne (South) 3km and a right on Hunt Club. You'll pass my house on the left side (look for the car dealer at 1470) make a U-turn at Albion road intersection, come back a bit and your there.

I just dropped off Jim and Pat at the Dorval airport destined for Los Angeles. Neither of them slept last night as they frantically prepared their speedboards. Jim decided he would like his passport which he left downtown so they got to hang out in morning traffic on their way back.

32 minutes is tonnes of time to check in for international flights isn't it?

Go make Canada proud boys!!

Stefan,

Thanks for the email, but I didn't get it until today. I was even out there! I didn't know were people were getting together so I popped in at a couple of places I knew of but abviously I never found you.

How did it go? It was kind of wet... Sydenham was mostly dry by 10:30, buy fairly busy with traffic. I did a last run by a couple of hills by about 11:00, then I bailed.

Let me know if we can squeek in one more run before the snow. :-)

Paul

P.S. Wish I was headed to Barrett this weekend.

Ouch! As sure as we were about your hand Mia we are glad you went to get it checked out. Guess who's doing Stats, LOL.

Anyhow, everyone check for the updates on the contest calendar.

Let me know what time you think you will arrive so we can set-up a rendy-vous. I will likely be at mooney's Bay Friday afternoon cleaning and marking courses.

I will post the location addresses so you can mapquest if need be.

You should be able to find the locations from the information already posted. I'm pretty beat right now and I have 3 hours of sk8 classes tomorow so, I'm out of here.

Please send me an e-mail so i can get my Gathering mail list back together.

The weather for the weekend looks great but bring some soft wheels in case it's cold.

C'mon down for Many Happy Pumps.

Great session the other day in montreal. Short but fun. MB and Claude, i have to say incredible timing, Pierre aswell, he was all set up and ready to go by the time we got to Parc Lafontaine. Thanks to all of you. JF, its always great to meet another person to skate with, so hopefully when your ankle is better you'll come to slalom with Pierre and I.
and ahhhh as for my hand, which is now purple, i got it checked out today and it turns out i have two fractures. I think im winning over here for the most fractures in just under a year, im upto 4 now....hopefully next season i wont break at all.
Pierre, do you want to skate this week? what days are you free? maybe we will be able to get steph on a board before this weekend.

Wow! What a nice unexpected sk8 day. MBL and i we're out sk8'n at one of next weeks venues. We were discussing Mia's
injury sustained late last night.

I had mentioned it was too bad we hadn't talked earlier in the day we could have made the trip and switched boards before next weekends Gathering. Both Roe crossfire with RT-X/S combi truks. One is Soft and one is Medium. MBL says "let's go now" I said " it's 2:00 o'clock it's too late". So we each take another run through our course and dicide we're goping.

A quick stop at home and I call Mia send a post to Pierre along with an e-mail and we're off. We pull into Mia's, she is just arriving in her driveway, says she just spoke to P and he is on his way. 5 mins and we're on opur way.

One quick stop for an Ace bandage for Mia's wrist and fifteen minutes later we're all sessionning. 5 minutes later we are joined by JF (nice to meet you). He skates Slalom really well for a beginer with a broken bone in his lead foot! A half hour later he is off to work or something.

Thanks for taking the time guys. It certainally made the trip that much more worth while. MBL thanks for a little persistance.

C-ya all soon.
