Island board shops

Rob, there is a few skate shops downtown in Victoria that I know of and I definately recall seeing some longboards in H+O when I was there. I can't exactly remember what product they were selling but I'm sure if you didn't find something you liked, they'd be able to direct you elsewhere. Can't speak for Nanaimo.. didn't spend much time there. I think the other shop is called 360 but I didn't see much of a board selection as I did in the first place.

Any good places to get a longboard on Vancouver island? I'm attempting to brainwash my (van owning) sister who lives out there, and so I'm looking for shops in Victoria or Nanaimo (might hit Tofino, too, I hope.) Won't have time to visit the mainland this trip, unfortunately.

Two van loads of sk8ers including some slalom skateboarders left the nation's capital at The Ottawa Sk8park to tour sk8parks (in/outdoor) around southern Ontario this morning, for three days. The crews were stoked although Claude is not skating to save himself for the US Nationals, Brianna K. injured her wrist during teamsk8 yesterday,(but accompanied her crew as the only female rep.)(mb stayed home to work - someone has to) and Daniel D. was finally quite upset to have been left behind, missing his brother Gabriel. Daniel consoled himself this afternon by sk8in' with his buddy Jared W. (also six years old) and practisin' their grinding to show Claude & Paul D. (team manager @ OSP)when they return. Dan & Jared have also been promised a future 'road trip' from their coach. They'd like to go to Southparc to try to get some air over the mini-spine and practice their slalom/duoluge wif Jim Z and Malyka's dad.
OSP looking forward to the next seven weeks of insanity as our summer camps unfold - slalom buddies, please come visit week-ends to visit/train You are most welcome anytime

Latest poll from my neighbor to the north. Apparently the Frenchies are a little bit smarter at 64%. Please announce your July 1 race NOW, so I can plan to be there next year. I think with some advanced prepartion I can convince the other 60%.
Poll: over 40% of Canadian teens think America is "evil" by Arthur Weinreb
June 30, 2004
Can West News Services, owners of several Canadian newspapers including the National Post as well as the Global Television Network commissioned a series of polls to determine how young people feel about the issues that were facing the country’s voters. Dubbed "Youth Vote 2004", the polls, sponsored by the Dominion Institute and Navigator Ltd. were taken with a view to getting more young people involved in the political process.
In one telephone poll of teens between the ages of 14 and 18, over 40 per cent of the respondents described the United States as being "evil". That number rose to 64 per cent for French Canadian youth.

Hi everyone
Just wanted to say thanks for the July 1 event. Claude and MB - great job! Thanks too for the practice session the previous night. It was nice to meet all those great people. It wasn't easy getting into "competition mode" again - but you all made it easier for me to do it! Thanks for the support and tips.
Skate on - and hope to see you all again soon

Civ, maybe you can send him the one from France where I actually had a lead on Luca for about 7 cones. Just be sure to edit out the end where he beat me by 5 or so.
Remember no pain, no gain.
Could've been too much pleasure, EH! That cost ya!
