I had a similar mishap in Bainbridge, OH in April. Clipped a haybale at about 60mph and fractured my thumb near the wrist - black and blue and hurt like hell. I spent 3 weeks with a pin in it and 6 weeks in a cast, plus physio forever. It still isn't up to much strength-wise but is enough that I can get out to luge and board. Just remember while you are recouping a crash at 20kph will hurt as bad as the first one. :-) Take care and heal up. Paul     Rate post 177659 ! I got the thumb x-rayed today, no results yet...get em tomorrow. I think I might hve busted it....very purple and sore. The racing was awesome though, I will be back to do it again.
