Where's Cliff Coleman?
On 5/7/2005 Chris Chaput wrote in from United States  (66.116.nnn.nnn)

Hey, where's Cliff? Why isn't he ever on this message board any more? Is he okay? Cliff, I need you to hook me up with some wheels. Gimme a bro deal. After all, I am a CC too. I can't afford to be travelling all over the place giving free advice and having to buy wheels which I slide the hell out of. Hook a brother up young man! I'm gonna give you my cell phone number in two different posts so no one steals my identity. Are you ready? Seven one four, six two zero...

A huge day in my skate life!
On 5/7/2005 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (68.127.nnn.nnn)

Today I will remember for ever. This morning, I taught Lloyd Kahn to slide. Last month Lloyd turned 70! The message here is to stay fit and never say your too old. I have a new hero and his name is Lloyd Kahn. He can really ride and slide.

Slide Clinics in Denver.
On 5/5/2005 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (68.127.nnn.nnn)

Tom,

I don't have any clinics scheduled at the moment for the Denver area. I will be at a clinic in San Luis Obispo, May 14th. Then I'll be in Pender Harbor, BC, May 19th through May 24th. I will then be in Albuquerque for the Indian School ditch Race, May 28th. In Albuquerque, I will teach anyone who needs slide instruction how to slide. June is free of scheduled events at this time. In July, I plan on being in the UK for at least the first three weeks of the month.

If you think there are enough students in you area to make a clinic posible, e-mail me at the link for more information on how to set one up.

Thanks,
Cliff Coleman

Sergio won't be in San Luis Obispo for the slide clinic. He is in Brazil until June. Then if things work out he will be coming to the US.

Ninja, hope to see you and maybe some of your friends at the clinic.

San Luis Obispo Slide Clinic, "meeting location"!
On 4/26/2005 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (68.127.nnn.nnn)

All participants for the slide Clinic in San Luis Obispo, will be meeting at 9:00AM, at Johnny Miller's. His Ranch address is: 685 Oconner Way, San Luis Obispo, CA. This location is close to the chosen areas for the clinic. Use your favorite map software, "Mapquest" for example, to guide you to the meeting place.

Please arrive on time to allow all to sign in. Come with with full safety gear. Bring slider gloves if you have them! If you have extra pairs of gloves to share, bring them also.

Bring a deck for sliding! Bring a deck that will accomodate at least a shoulder width stance. This is most easily done on a deck with a kick tail or even a double kick. Bring wheels in the mid 80s to mid 90s regarding durometer. Use the trucks of your choice.

See you there,
Cliff Coleman

San Luis Obispo Slide Clinic
On 4/19/2005 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (68.127.nnn.nnn)

The San Luis Obispo Slide Clinic will take place Saturday, May 14th, beginning at
9:00am. The meeting location will be announced soon. I'm currently checking three locations to find the best site available.

The cost is still at the introductory price of only $50.00. Inexpensive when you consider that these lessons will make you safer for the rest of your skate life. As soon as the web-site goes up, the price will increase to $100.00. Get in now for half price, and join the fun!

Bring pads, helmet and slider gloves. If you don't have gloves, you can order them on the net. Or simply do a search here and make a pair. We should also have a few extra pairs.

Pay at the event. Contact Cliff Coleman for more information via e-mail at: "sk8fast@sbcglobal.net".

Sincerely,
Cliff Coleman

Cliff's schedule is taking shape.
On 4/17/2005 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (68.127.nnn.nnn)

Hello Sliders,

This May 14th, Johnny Miller and I will be teaching Slide lessons in the San Luis Obispo, CA area. This is a chance to get in on an introductory offer of only $50.00 to make you safer for the rest of your skate life. Come learn to slide. The location will be set soon. I will then give directions to said place. Come hang out and have some fun with friends in a low key atmosphere.

May 19th, I fly to race Downhill at Danger Bay, in Canada. I'll be there until May 24th. Two Downhill races and a Slide contest. It's all part of the Pender Harbour May Day Festivities. This means big crowds for the events. It will be great fun!

May 26th, I fly to Albuquerque to race at the Indian School Race. This ditch is one of about 40, 2 to 5 miles in length. To race there with the legends of our sport will be awesome. Also, you just can't beat the hospitality of Joe Lehm and his crew. We are also going to teach anyone interested to slide at this venue. Then we will go for a slide session afterwards.

For you Brits or any of my friends from other Countries, Albuquerque is a must visit for you.

In the works is a trip back to the UK to teach sliding and skate at Festivals in three locations. The Sheffield area in the North again, then Bristol, Where "Shiner" is located, and another in Cornwall with the Faltown crew. After completion of the UK tour, there is a strong possibility of continuing the trip by traveling to the Netherlands.

It's going to be a great year and the ball is just starting to roll!

David,

Patrick and I will be flying into Vancouver, not Seattle. We are flying stand-by via United. We don't know for sure when we will arrive. When we do arrive, we need contact information so someone can pick us up. I'll be there until the following Tuesday, when I fly back to the Bay Area. Patrick will stay a few days longer and return on the following Thursday.

Danger Bay will be one to remember!

Clinic in Abq?
On 4/4/2005 Joe Lehm wrote in from United States  (65.19.nnn.nnn)

Is there any interest in having Cliff do a slide clinic here in Abq during the Outlaw Invitational? It's May 28th and 29th, and for those not yet into racing or sliding it's going to be a great opportunity to get up to 'speed'.

Joe

THANKS CLIFF
On 3/27/2005 MARK MCCREE wrote in from United States  (198.70.nnn.nnn)

Thanks Cliff for your comments on Hackett's forum. In 1978 I threw the dice and lost in this biz. Thanks to people like Keith Hollie,Jack Smith, and others, I kept the faith to make it to the 2000 worlds and see the energy that was greater than anything in the previous 20 years- yes 20 years had gone by from my exit from the truck biz.

The guys now involved in this sport are worthy of someone's financial attention. It's guys like you and many others that make the money well worth spending.

Another person that has gotten less attention is my partner Mike Renick. Without his dedication to the manufacturing side of this equation, the most responsive truck ever developed would not be available, and my marketing investments you have highlighted would not be happening.

Thanks again for your comments.
