The Purple Skunk Skate Shop is simply amazing!! I went there on my trip through the US and it was defenetly one of the highlights during my vacation - So friendly, so nice... Never made such good experiences with a skateshop in europe!

nicks is like the only place in pleasant hill that sells skate equipment it is not that bad for being in a town with only 5000 to 10000 people so if u need skate equipment in pleasant hill this is the place to go (:

What else can I say, but great people to deal with. Had a UPS problem and Lizzie and crew jumped on it. Great business practices. I’m 44 live on eastern shore of MD. I am a long boarder (biggest kid in the group). My new 75 mm Avila Purple wheels (my board looks like a steam roller from the rear) and purple skunk rollers, just flat out ROLL! hey herbn do you have any gumballs in stock? I need a new pair for munnsville and probably shouldn't have waited so long before running down there. what's your stores phone #? over a gate hill a while back and got up to 53mph. I was disappointed though because my trucks were just a bit too far over the twitchy side for me to tuck harder, couldn't fix them cuz I forgot my skate tool at my house, POOP! anyway I'll try to get over to the shop this week to pick up some new wheels.

Many of you are aware that for last couple years IRS Sports has been undergoing a major move. That move is now complete and we are now working on getting set up in our new location.
With the new store we are also working on a new on line store.
THIS IS NOT YET THE WORKING ON LINE STORE! This is just a look at our new downtown location. My hope is to have the new on line store up and running in a about a month. However, in the mean time I do have some of the downhill product line available and ready to ship. I am beginning to restock the store and would like to hear from you what products you would like to see us carry.

The people at the skunk are the absolute best at any skate store you could find anywhere in the world. Last month I won their online raffle (entered for free just by buying something online). They sent the wheels (which, by the way, are awesome) to my address at boarding school. I was on spring break, and not knowing that they'd been sent out, I asked the guys at the skunk to send the set to my house. They immediately sent out a second set of wheels, I got them at home, theyre great, and so on. When I got back to school, I realized they had sent the first set to school. I liked the wheels so much, though, that I shot Shawn at the skunk an email asking if I could hang on to both sets and pay normal price + shipping for the second one. Shawn replied, and I quote: Lizzie aka Momma Skunk and the rest of us at the Purple Skunk admire your honesty. As a token of our appreciation for your honesty we would like to give those second set of wheels as a gift. Basically I wound up with two sets of sweet wheels, and confirmed again what I already knew: the skunk is the absolute best skate store anywhere. Awesome people, great products, quick shipping, and so on. Even though I'm on the East Coast, I still give them all my skate business and pay the extra shipping costs because they deserve it.
