Repost from Slalom forum just in case:
Anyone got a fresh set of 69mm Hot Spots (blue, 81A) they can sell to me at Hood? I've got a year-old, worn set but could really use some new ones, but I've had trouble finding any in time for the race. If you've got a fresh set you can spare, lemme know by e-mail or at 314-497-forty three sixty six. Thanks!
P.S. I've tried contacting Daddies, but they carry every Seismic wheel BUT the Hot Spots. :-(

Check it out! Looks like Skip Marcotte is helping to put on the slalom race, and Judy Edmondson organizing at least part of this.
We now have a race to go to end of August!

Need to say Thank you to everyone that worked on the event. What a great time. Sorry it took a bit but it's been non-stop since I got back home, EH! Congrats to all of the racers it was quite exciting watching all the up and comers.
It was great to be part of the Peter Ramirez Memorial Slalomcross event. Janet thank you for allowing us to share your loss forever. See you all in a week or so as you host the World Championships!

Wow - someone remind me to drink coffee before I post, I was waaaay too sleepy as I typed both my earlier posts. I am an English teacher and my posts were misspelled like crazy. Why is there no spellcheck on this site - how embarassing.

Huge thank you to Pat Chewning for getting us involved in The State Games, it was excellent. A giang hug and tear for Peter Ramirez's mother. She was wonderful and gracious and reminded us all what our sport can do for people. We miss her son.
We are in the final few weeks before Worlds and I wanted to take a quick minute to thank all of the CSA'rs and nearly CSA'rs who have stepped up to get stuff done ahead of time. John Stryker, Brad Jackman, Paul Steiger, Gareth Roe, James Peters, Corey Moy, Pat Chewning, Judi Oyama, and more. (I haven't had a cup of coffe yet so I'm a little bleary. I know, I know, if you read my slalom section post, you're doubting that!)
Anyway, we have lots of work to do to be ready. Look for batch emails starting this afternoon with tasks to be checked off. For those of you who have emailed me that you can bring certain things like cones, tables, chairs, chalk, etc. please revisit your memory banks and get those things packed now :)
Have a great Monday and stay tuned.

Tim, The park in Woodland is right next to the highway and a great break between Seattle and PDX. If you take 205 around Vanc/Portland, you can skate Glenhaven (NE 82nd north of I84) and the new street Plaza, Ed Benedict, which is just east a few blocks of 205 on SE Powell. If you take I5 through Portland, You have Pier Park (15 min west on N Lombard),The Dept of Skateboarding (indoors $$$) off NE Broadway in the Rose Quarter right next to I5, and Burnside of course. South of town you have Holly Farms and Gabriel Park. Gabriel Park is super fun and only 10 mins off I5. Check http://www.concretedisciples.com/skateparksdb/display_state.php?state=OR for more details and directions. Skateoregon.com is good too but it needs to be updated. Give me a ring and I may join you. RedBull's Manny Mania is going on Friday at the Dept. and there is an art opening at Nemo Designs that night. Hit me up...
Also check out our Go Skateboarding Day at: http://pdxdownhill.wordpress.com/
Can't wait to see the crew.

Man, it's nice to be able to retreat to the friendly environs of the CSA section. That slalom section is too brutal for me, what a bunch of cranky butts :)
Anyway, really looking forward to Salem this weekend and hanging out with some of my favorite people. We are driving down on Thursday, staying at the cousin's farm. We'll probably go over to Salem on Friday at some point to skate a little.
Claude - really glad you are going to be there. Lots to talk about.
See everyone there. Thanks for being the best crew going.
