EVERYONE can enter.
Only those AMATEUR racers in OR, WA, NV, CA, ID can win OSG medals.
All other people can enter and get times, and results will be sent to ISSA, just like every other race.
==================================== ======
If the online pre-registration is closed, no worries. Come to the race and we'll sign you up on race day.

.....Sturgeon showing up on my posts each time I have the most current post. It kind of makes up for "other" inadequacies I won't go into detail about. So I think just to make sure I "keep" the fish I'll just keep posting something, anything, anything at all just to be the most current and keep that fish on my post as if I'm the one who caught it. Yeah, that's the ticket! - P

......I totally spaced off reserving a room for the Salem race. I'll join in with anyone who wants to lend me some floor space. Let me know here or email me with the "email name-click thingy" above.
MALCOLM - I may start looking into getting a room at the Motel 6 in Salem for starters, if I do you can room with me if you want to. Right now we're still moving and building/cleaning things so I'm more of a Space Cadet than usual but if I get a room soon I'll post here. I'd email you directly but I only have email access at work and we can't use the "email name-click thingy".

PA system, or stereo with mic input?

I REALLY would like to find a PA system, or an old stereo with a microphone input for the Salem race.
My old source left the country (good luck in Europe races, Brad)
I REALLY need this to amplify anouncements, music (maybe), and the start tones.
Doesn't anyone have something I can use? Please let me know.

why do they keep showing that picture, the three guys and the big fish?
answer: the advertisers suffer from dumbassery.
are slalom skateboarders fishermen?
well are they lads and lassie's
i suppose we fish for faster times, our boards be our boats and we bait our wheels with radikals and splitfires...
All for the grand catch of the lowly second.
so avast me hardies, cast off and set sail fer the mighty course, that lay itself before thee....HAR!

Questions about the State Games

I received some questions, so I'll post the answers here for all to see:
Q: Park slalom course from drop-in, roll-in, or push start? Park slalom proposed course is here: (starting from roll-in) http://www.northwestskater.com/Aumv07parkslalom.html
Q: How fast is the Salem Hill? Bombing the Salem hill takes approx 21 seconds -- see times here: http://www.ncdsa.com/contest_registration.asp?ContestID=278 The length of the track is 940 feet see here: http://www.salemsbd.org/salem's_track.htm So that gives a bombing-the-hill speed of 940 ft/ 21 seconds = 44.76 feet per second = 30.5 MPH Most of the slalom races take about 30 seconds, so those are in the range of 21 MPH

Hey, Good luck and have fun at Malcolm's Race. Sounds fun, but I'll be having more fun than you guys though, I'll be boxing up belongings and building shelves in an outdoor closet in the carport at the new house. And maybe shopping for some Solar Tubes and towel racks for the bathroom. Plus, I'll get to get a broom and romove cobwebs. I know I'm gloating, but I'm SOOO stoked about it, I wish you guys could come down and be a part of it. Really.
