Hmmm, So far, so good by the weather reports. Do your "NO-Rain" dances but specifically for the weekend and do your "Rain" dances for every day between now and then so the weather system "gets it our of it's system".
Judy - That'll be good to get more women into slalom, Cool! - P

Hey there, I was just looking around at a couple of other things and found out that it's the Cherry City Festival in Salem this weekend, so for those of you coming from out of town it sounds like there is music, art, all kinds of stuff going on. Yahoo!

Remember last time........
The the "experts" were calling for 60 to 70% chance of rain. All the NorCal gang drove up anyway. We had 2 days of BEAUTIFUL sunny weather. So....... you never know, ya'll may get lucky.

Yes, DO check www.weather.gov before you make the trip and type in "Salem, OR". Pat's correct, we're getting some rain we did'nt get last fall. If the race gets called off I will post here and the slalom forum and try to cancell on the contest calender as well. Schlater - P

I highly suggest you check the weather before commiting to a trip. Our rainy season started with a vengence this past week. Forecasts are only good about 1 or 2 days at most in advance...

Judy,
I wish I could be there. A Sunday contest is just not do-able for me. If I'm not careful, I may not have a job to come back to after Colorado.
I haven't told my boss I'm taking Friday & Monday off yet....... again!
Ya'll have fun.

Funny thing happened in school today - I looked around the classroom and discovered that, once again, it was the quiet one who had gotten the kids all stirred up. I'd been suspicious for awhile, but when I realized the kid reminded me of Corey, I knew I had my suspect! Dang instigators...
Weather has been lousy for skating over here. Really looking forward to this weekend so I can shake the rust off a little bit.
Cat - I'm bringing more gals, wish you were going to be there. The more girl power the better! It's fun to think we actually have a Spokane contingent this time.
See all of you on Saturday. Judy

Is the Worlds "This" weekend (Sept 29th/30th)?
Am I missing something or is it really not posted on the NCDSA Contest Calender?
My Wife and I just got back to "the civilized" world after a really good Honeymoon backpacking trip to Diamond Peak, just trying to catch up on things.
Good Luck Guys! - P

mike's so fast, the only way he's gonna hear any sort of good luck thingy, is you have to say it about one second before the race. otherwise he won't get the message until next week...

Besides winning, [the most fun thing is] getting out there and mixing it up with friends; it's the competition. - Al Unser, Jr
Good luck to all of the CSA folks - Michael D, Brad J, Skip, and Mark - who are headed down south for Worlds. Represent well. We'll be cheering for you from home. You guys better call me to give me updates. I've even got my students looking forward to hearing how things are going.
Enjoy the trip, the competition, but most of all the good slalom folks you'll be with.
