Thanks everyone for a great day of racing. Unofficial World Record Nor Cal Results
Contest Date: September 7, 2008 Contest Location: Santa Cruz Levee and San Jose Results: 25, 50 (Santa Cruz) and 100 (San Jose)
Contest Director: Judi Oyama
We had great weather in Santa Cruz with very subtle winds. The police came by three times and were very nice. The third one we had to go so we only got results in one direction on the 50.
Huge thank you to Jonny and girls for all the help. Timers, Ramps...love
And a big Thank You to Dan from Tactis sk8 shop for the lunch. Dan sponsored burritos, tacos and tons of great support.

Thank you Drew, Jackson (Miko's son), Marcus for helping keep times. Everyone for putting up with me directing and shouting to move off the path for bikers. I didn't want to get shut down earlier. I know bikers and they do not like to move over.
Thank you to the Santa Cruz Police for putting up with us and all the walkers and joggers.
Thank you to John Ravitch who helped foot the bill with me. Thanks to Mr. Gary Holl who gave us a few boot camp sessions and it showed. He rarely skates slalom with us and still got some great times. Thank you Victoria for the waters and cookies.
Thank you to all those who bought a wrench for Board Rescue.

Hey Rich and HC, it's been a while, but I've officially wrapped up my snowboard season now and am looking to do some skating (slalom, street, slide... I suck at all of them). I'm actually heading to the foothill college parking lot with two friends tonight for my first "public" skate session of 2008 (i.e. not in my parking lot at work the hill by my apartment by myself). Let me know what you guys are up to.

Been posting on SilverfishLongboarding for a while, after I got bit by the board fever here..again. I 'll spare you the story, but I will be really glad to hook up with some of you guys and learn by watching, and maybe enjoy a suggestion or two when it comes. I've been climbing for 20some years(snowboard for 5) so I know what a learning curve is in sport, loving every step of it skateboarding, still is somewhat confusing learning alone. Was supposed to meet with Hung Chang last weekend at SJose RSP, been there 6 hours sat and 2 sunday...legs are gone..lol Drop me a line if you have time! shadow9 on silverfish or at paolomil-at-hotmail-dot-com
Take care!
