HC, yes they do :) That would be pretty fun to try. I don't know though. I'd have to trust someones ability and timing to do it while rolling. I would also have to decide how I would want them to take me out if they missed, EH! Might be worth looking into next season.
We used to do a few things like that but I was usually parallel with a board under my hands and one under my feet.
The guys would be lined up coming towards me and jumping over me as I was rolling towards them.

I skated greer once back on 02 or so. Lots of fun, and it was quite first generation-like, even though it was built much later. I was on super hard modern wheels which made it a little sketchy, and it was pretty slick because of all the paint. But it was great fun. I skated Derby on that same trip. My board was way wrong for that place. I needed an old solid board and super turny trucks and softer wheels for that park, to really feel its old style possibilities. the Pickneyville skatepark (atlanta) has an awesome first generation style bowl and very short snake run entry into the bowl. But they mess it up with grind rails placed right at the top that get in the way.

boy howdee that round lipped terrain really looks awfully good. I still love to skate round lipped roundwall, but it is very rare now days. If there is some, its mixed in a street course that prevents any sort of real usage exceept as starting ramp for the street guys.

claude, can you do handstand to fakie? Yes!
handstand pumping on a mini ramp? Pumping is hard on your hands. It a little harder to thrust your hips into it from that position.
I got a trick in mind that involves a V-stand and a hippie jump! ;-) It's works but I could only jump narrow objets :)
Handstand kickflip on a flatbank to fakie. It took a while to get it on a bank but it was a lot of fun trying and several good tumbles.
What I really like the most is a snake run run with good transitions and be able to flow frontsie and ackside up the face of the walls on my hands. Very few sk8parks offer that anymore.
The sk8park we went to after the Athens race a couple of years ago had a nice teardrop that lead to a couple of different areas and one nice corner that was good to carve. Sorry no vids or pics of most of my stuff.
I'm looking forward to being in better shape next year and riding a lot more upside down. I will fix up my handstand slalom board and put that to work more often as well.

Claude, Ben does those 'just to get the chicks' !! Gotta love teenager's with their priorities in order.
I had Howell's 6-board, three-under-each-hand, photo up on my wall for, lordy, many, many years. That always was a good reminder of just what one could do on a skateboard with practice and perseverance. Can't imagine what the 'wipeouts' in practice were like!
The Carrasco Brothers continue to amaze!! Double on one board?!? Nuts! :-D

HC, that is some pretty sick stuff. Never tried any of that. I used to walk on two hands until I learned to roll everywhere.
Yeah, Rene I still do most of the same stuff on my hands. I haven't done a handstand kickflip since 2004. When we got back from Paris I was doing a demo/fundraiser with the team and while doing a 3 board Handstand Kickflip I landed perfect (on the wrong deck -too small no nose) and as I squared up my front foot caought the ground and started to rip my anle up.
I ended up dropping into a knee slide to try to stop it from breaking. I still carve wall, banks and do multiple stacked stuff (my PB is 7) 5 with the kickflip part. I still have a few thigs that I want to do on my hands while riding but we will see. I sure can no longer ride an perform the presses to headstand to what you call "chin scraper" and back up again. Nor can I do the Handstand to l-sit-v-sit and back up either :)
Maybe next year, EH!

Thanks Eric!
I personally blame it all Russ Howell and the Carrasco Brothers you know!
Ben was pretty impresive the next time I seen him and he showed me. Rene you would have been stocked.
Hopefully those that browse this forum can follow the link I posted. There are some of my old pics posted with lots of Handstand action. I cannot post them here (don't know or don't have them on a site yet).
But if you can do it go ahead. There is a nice thread started by Marion Karr the other day that is showing a lot of old photo's

While this is really about the here-and-now, it lends itself towards noticing our history;
Handstands, something I never mastered, but could do every once-in-awhile for a few seconds. Well, my friend Claude, happened to be at a Slalom race a few years back, and pulled his 'trick' deck out, and started doing those, eloquently and in a good deal of control. One of the "youngin's" I taught Slalom to, a Mr. Ben Volvovitz, asked me if I thought he could pull that off. I said Yup, and gave him a hint or too. Claude also must've gave him a few tips. Anyhow, the thing is, Ben can do these now at will! Great to see stuff like that passed on along. ;-) Thanks, Canuck for the Inspiration!
