Latest Email from Paul.
Along with the attached photo I wanted to mention another thing to you. If you'll notice in the picture at the auction site the Kryptonics sticker in the center of the board is of a shape I''d not seen before nor since. That tells me it was/is, at the minimum, a dealers sticker. Also notice that the nonskid that covers the deck's top is cut out to augment that specific sticker shape. If the shop I got it from originally, and it was a toy shop (the old people that ran it did not have the energy to produce a phony product) that was going out of business as opposed to a skate shop, wanted to rip off the Kryptonic name, they went to a great deal of trouble. It is, as I said in my earlier email I believe, a genuine Kyrptonic product. I added nothing to the board. Regards, Paul........ PS: This is the second one I've auctioned. The first one was identical. Look through my closed auctions and you'll see it. That also tells me it was/is a factory job.

Can anyone tell me if these trucks are any good for slalom. I cut and pasted this from an email I recieved from a guy who wants to make a trade with me. Any help would be appreciated.
Now these Trackers are the very early runs from 1975. Not only are the axles completly threaded across the axles, but these baseplates have only TRACKER stamped on them, not TRACKER TRUCKS.and the word TRACKER is only on one side of each baseplate, with different letter stampings than TRACKER TRUCKS.also they are still bolted to the TRACKER WOODEN SPACER BLOCKS.I have two sets of these trucks and the wooden spacers.

What sort of impression are you going to present of Knuckleheads to a (female) newcomer to the site if you insist on such ribaldry? SBM... Ignore him, he's a knucklehead! (With a small K!) And also a Knucklehead (with a big K!)

Cool-good luck in finding what you need. Simon at Skatesite in the UK (website: http://www.skatesite.co.uk/) has a Stacy Peralta Kicktail (wood) for about 70 US$and a G&S Fibreflex for a whopping $129.00 (but may not after this posting. . .). I've never bought from him, but he's always gotten back to me on questions and has been around a while, he used to advertise in the Longboarder mag.
Anyway, you can get Tracker Mid Tracks at www.solidskate.com (at least you used to be able to) or you can always go with Indy 101s. I concur with SSS on the Kryptonics, you can get Krypto Classics or Hawaii K's at solidskate.com or poolskater.com.
Finally, let me formally apologize for my fellow knucklehead suggesting that you "like 'em small and rock hard." What was he thinking. heh heh heh.

Way to go skateboard Mom! sounds like my own return to skating. Even down to wanting a FFx BowlRider... I can warn you these are not easy to get hold of! Luckily I still had mine left over from the day. If you can hang on til next year they may well be reissued by the powers that be...In the meantime, dont rule out a modern deck, theyre usually about 30'' and great to ride, once u get used to it. I agree the old decks look better, but...problem if you want narrower could be the modern truck holes cos I think pretty much ALL trucks are'humungous'now. But again, it may feel a bit different, but the wide ones are easier to ride and more stable for us oldsters. The only dodgy area of modern gear is the wheels... unless you like em small and rock hard... I got round it with some Kryptonic Classic K's, still in the old 78a Durometer and still smokin! Available still, youll be pleased to hear! Anyone want to add? Go for it, SBM!

Good board for bowls?

What's a 38-year-old mom doing on this website (at midnight, no less)?? I need help! Once upon a time--like 1976-77--I was on the Hobie amateur team. Twenty-five years later, I am starting to skate again--with a vengence. I have a couple Sector 9s, which I love, but even the midsize (a Suess model, I think it's called) is a tad too long for me when I go to the skateparks and try to ride the bowls. I know, this is a LONGboard site, but hey, I'm only 5 feet tall, so for me, any board over 28" is a LONGboard. So, who here can advise me on where to find a good board with a slight kick that's somewhere around 30"-32" long? I use my old Hobie Skatepark Rider (circa 1977) sometimes, but it's so short (26") it's scary. And I just picked up a vintage Fibreflex on ebay that I'm VERY excited about, but it's more for old freestyle tricks. I think I'm looking for solid wood, or maybe slightly flexy, perhaps like the old Fibreflex Bowlrider, if that's what they were called. It can't have humungous trucks either, cuz I just can't coordinate that. Can anyone advise?? Thanks!

There is an old ad with Shogo, Biniak ,and Adams .Some sort of "return of the Zboys" theme,Always wondered what crazy Jay was doing stuck to the ceiling while the others are chilling in tux's,it's a dark and blurry shot and i'm can't even tell if it involves a skateboard,it looks like one of his signature handplant ATTEMPTS,any insiders? Fun with the trivial.

That borad IS NOT a KRYPTO board. That is a kryptonics sticker. The boys on the post are correct and I concur with Mr. Arab. Looks like a painted fiberglass Bahne drilled for late 70's trucks.

You may be looking at pics of the ARROW team. Fits the time frame. The Arrow team was over there at that time building decks, parks and a bad rep. Shogo,Hackett,Piercy,Constantineau among others. It was a concept thing. They went over for 2 years and lived like rock stars until it all caught up with them and they got EJECTED...........Mr. Hackett gave me the skinny last week on the whole scene and from the pics you have it definitely fits the bill and time frame. I can't say who the goofyfoot is but it's probabally one of the diciples or locals from the day. Probabally no one in particular, But who knows. Nice ride though. Nice carve too. No ollie kick tricks to impress the other girly men. Real Meat and potatoes skatin.

I've got got 2 NOS1st generation 65MM OJ's to trade. Although they've never held bearings they are not perfect. One has a 1/8" cut next to a 1/16" bubble. Not terrible but not perfect.I'll trade for a set of used trucks or wheels or a deck. I'm not the Paul with the krytos deck either.

Can somebody get for me 2 or 3 set of Us silver mouinting screws to put on my vintage skate boards. And this way they will have a real vintage look.
