Truly one of kind and the centerpiece for any collection. This is the board that changed it all. Won in Texas State championship in 79. Handed to me by contest judge Stacy Peralta. Never riden...never even drilled!!!! If you don't buy it, the Smithsonian will! This will be worth over $5000 in 5-10 years. My loss is your investment. I will consider BUY IT NOW offers at email: flatsurf@hotmail.com

Single fin, i'd use a hairdryer to soften the glue, and peel off gently to keep as much glue on the grip and less on your board, BTW what deck is it?

It's a Schmidt Stix Lucerro.

dat board
On 8/1/2002 Duane wrote in from (68.15.nnn.nnn)

The wheel set and trucks would be worth $50-70 each depending on condition, the board I don't know but I do know the neighbor kid cost you plenty. BTW send an email to Steve in AZ (several posts down). He's been looking for snakes flatbacks for awhile now.

Sims SuperPly with Tracker Mid Tracks & Green Sims Snakes
On 8/1/2002 Rob wrote in from (209.250.nnn.nnn)

I have a Sims Superply with Tracker Mid Tracks and Green Sims Snakes that I just got back from one of my neighors. This was one of my original boards in the late 70's and I was wondering if people would be interested in it or what is worth.
The wheels and trucks are in good used condition. Unfortunaterly my neighbors son decided to remove the grip tape and sand the complete board, including the sims logo off the bottom.

I also have a used set of Kryptonic 65mm reds from the same era

If anyone has any opinions and/or interests please feel to contact me.

Thanks

Rob

Trackers
On 7/21/2002 Kevin wrote in from (24.30.nnn.nnn)

Collecting too many decks and wheels.....I try to stay 'pure' with vintage completes...but I am running out of trucks. What most simulates the 'feel' of late 70's full tracks (trackers) My hunch is to stay with the current tracker full tracks. Any suggestions?

Went to La Costa yesterday and hung out for a while, I saw the repros from G&S...very nice. Going to pick one up today.

Red snakes
On 7/20/2002 Herbn wrote in from (64.12.nnn.nnn)

listed as 92.5a whites were 90a green 88a. Maybe the comp 1/ bowlrider formula was around 85a, durometer was not as big a deal in early days when comp1 "pure juice" wheels came out.

Toft
On 7/20/2002 Paul D wrote in from (207.134.nnn.nnn)

Kevin,
I'm the "Paulie" Steve was talking about (actually he's the only person that calls me that). I'd love to make that Toft deck and a hole pile of others as well. The only problem is time. I've got none. If I have free time I try to fill it skating. With 3 kids and a fixer-upper-house I don't have much to spare. However, winter is hell on me and that's the only time I put into making decks. I still have to make myself another 8X30 Alva like the one I sent to Steve. I miss seeing it hanging in the front entry.
Thanks for asking
Paul D, in Montreal

white snakes
On 7/20/2002 Glen wrote in from (216.102.nnn.nnn)

I think I remember the white snakes being 90 or 92A while the Green's were like 88a and the reds like 84A. Those numbers are probably off, but the whites were harder.

This is not my auction but I was curious as to the date on these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1843725066

It looks like they don`t have the kingpin plate pin. Also, the baseplate does not say Gullwing like my gold set, and the hanger looks differant too. Were these made before my gold set? Are the bushings original?

Bennett pro ad-track
On 7/17/2002 Geezer X wrote in from (149.2.nnn.nnn)

I have 1 (one) minty nos bennett pro+ad trak truck. I need another one, or will swap this one for a clean pair of bennett pros. If they are super nice, I could throw in a pair of halftrack hangers in perfect condition. I need this stuff to complete my yellow on yellow 28" Fibreflex bowlrider with Sims logo-on-the-inside pure juice wheels.
Thanks. Can do $$ or trades for other stuff.

Alright, I've seen the initials on the Z-Pig logo, but couldn't make sense of them (at least without adolescent humor thrown in). So, for someone who's only been to Cali a handful of times, could someone please tell me what the heck does P.O.P. stand for? Gracias.

Santa Monica pier is NOT where the old POP was. POP was between the northern end of the Rose avenue parking lot and the southern end of the Santa Monica Beach parking lot.
