I won another pivit board in the wakeboard contest! now when people come over we can have pivit off contests!
I also learned how to post just a link to my videos (sorry I kept posting our website link, but I am not real pc literate and honestly didnt know how to do it!) so from now on, I'll just post a link to the vid!

Silversurfer -- I guess you've checked out the boards made by Chuck Barfoot? (@ barfoot.com)
They don't exactly fit your preference for 70s-style shortboards. But as a general recommendation, I cannot say enough good things about these beautiful boards. My Competition Stripe (which isn't shown in the current lineup, but is roughly the same shape as the Micky Munoz) has a nice, fairly deep rocker. It's set up currently with Exkate 201s and 70mm Kryptos. I'm not sure this is the magic formula, or if there is one.
Chuck now sells these boards only as completes -- which might or might not be a good thing -- with Baku trucks and 65mm Kryptos: a setup definitely built for style, not for speed or for heavy carving.
I see there's a new shorter model, the Peggy Oki, 37.5" x 9.5" squaretail, which I kinda wish I hadn't seen, because now I covet one. These boards are just truly beautifully designed and crafted things. The rocker gives them a nice comfortable ride. Wheel bite is a danger if you indulge in big wheels, minimal risers or aggressive turning. Unless it's a choice between one Barfoot or two week's groceries, I say buy one immediately and contemplate at leisure what to do with it.

Well Amsterdam is completely flat so be sure and bring a board that's easy to pump and fun on the flats.
Go to Vondelpark, its a really big park in central A-Dam that is a blast to hang out in and people watch. Has a nice paved path thru it.
Its pretty flat in Northwest Europe in general, tho. Next time try to make to the Swiss, French,German or Austrian alps. Usually the roads leading up to the ski resorts are nice and empty in the summers.
have fun dude.
PS go to Homegrown Fantaseeds Coffeshop for me.

yeah boy!!! drop knee after cross legged turn da music in my ear(phone)s past da booter chicks (not too fast) past da grumbly ol' bikers past da reverse ball cap frat boyz running in surf trunks (ouch!!!) vaitus already at da bottom of da hill and vaitus no like pushing back .....good time to practice the cross push though...
that's the 60's longboard spot, narrow slight downhill walking path that's similar to a small reeling wave, kinda like Malibu
70's style works better for smooth wide roads with small ramps and such on the sides, I like to do those on the cosmic1, but I have to be careful (knees wil hurt) on the low pivotal thing cause I'm not Bertelmann (aka rubberman) and the last time I've been 13 like zboy jay adams in the movie I was 20 years ago :(

...git all twisted lika backside carve witha cross legged stance. you'll be walkin' to the nose like a samoan. an dat aint squat.
...weigh down the tail (not enough to lift the nose) then slash around, so you eatin' up ground.
...or just anything switch anythin'.

vaitus - hang ten? Sounds kinda like 60's longboard stuff. Cool. I like my skateboard kinda long (not too long). But for surfing, I like 70's shortboard. Bertleman and such.
I don't walk the board. I am trying to emulate that low pivital style, with lots of cut backs and such. Sort of like that Stik video or the z boys movie. Actually still trying to figure it out. Looking for ideas.
Thanks for the input!
BTW - what equipment are guys using?

What types of skating do you consider sidewalk surfing?
Very curious about your equipment.
