Aumsville Bargers

I agree with Wax and Josh, or the notion of just don't do it at Aumsville. I seriously doubt you'll be able to control the bargers there, but I also question if it can be controlled at any skatepark where the event takes up the entire park, or the majority of it. That's the nature of skateparks and the majority of those who go to such parks. Remember, most of them read Thrasher and some will act accordingly to what they think skateboarding is from that image(i.e. - do whatever they think some 30-or-older person doesn't want them to do). Just my 2 cents.

There are going to be 3 cross-country races in Portland for 2008. I'm sure Longboard Larry will hold a race or two as well. I think a slide comp. is the way to go if you're not doing park slalom.

Believe it or not, but I need to start planning the State Games for 2008 soon.
Please send me any suggestions for improving the event (post here, or email to me).
Here are the items I can suggest:
A) Start ramps for the races (small, easy start ramps) B) Park Slalom: Some method to prevent the rowdy locals from being such a pain in the ass during the event. Perhaps move away from Aumsville. Perhaps better communication and coordination with the "locals". Perhaps no park slalom. C) Maybe add another event: slide competition or cross-country race.

Hey all thanks for the kind words. I think it should say Amateur champion. Micheal Dong kicked everyone's butt this year as always. I think we should break it down like this- 2007 CSA Pro- Michael Dong 2007 CSA Am - Corey Moy 2007 CSA Jr's - Spencer Smith 2007 Rookie of the Year - The One and Only.. Dan-O
I'm pretty sure this is correct (based on my memory of all CSA races this season) Congratulations to Everyone! Big thanks to SKIP for the awesome award!! Hey James you spelled Intimidator wrong.

Short Slalom session tomorrow at 9am in Lakeland Hill, Auburn. We can't skate on the main road anymore, so look for us on the top of the hill, and to the right.
Shane, here's one of Seattle's fastest guy, beating Europe's fastest guy

HAHA! those videos are classic Corey, especially the first one. James and I talked briefly about this on Thursday night. Slalom dudes always seem to think that DH is more dangerous, perhaps. Slalom you may not crash as much, but when yo do, ITS HARSH!!!

hi gang! hope all are well.
paulie, you look good for twenty nine.
i've been thinking, since i've had surgery on my right shoulder, my left arm has really been picking up the slack, i.e tying my shoes, pulling up my pants, wiping my ass, etc...
i thought i'd do something special for it, a night on the town, with a lefthanded hussy?, a full arm message?.....
any ideas?
gotta skate! come on baby!

BBQ's and Birthdays

Hey, Thanks for the Birthday wishes. It was a triple birthday bash for Ron Snyder, a local kid I've known for years named Dave and myself. Dave Baker showed up to get away from his tasks and do a few slalom runs for awhile as did a bunch of Corvallis locals. The BBQ went off well with lots of skating, kids arguing who's turn it was to borrow my slalom boards, lots of riding the park, Ron and I playing my guitar, a few other's playing it as well. Good time. -P
