surgery done on tuesday -- installed a titanium plate , recovered and went home.
bad reaction to one medicine sent me back to the ER with itching swelling throat, difficult breathing.
back at home again, in and out of sleep every 2hrs or so as pain meds kick in and wear off.
thank goodness for a good medical leave benefit at work and good insurance

I'm probably coming up on Saterday the 9th of August if I can get it off and come back late Monday after going to museums. I'd be into a skatepark session on Sunday after the race.
If I don't do the Monday Museum thing, I'd be into carpooling.
Otherwise, and more likely, I like to borrow some floorspace somewhere to sleep Saterday night or maybe Sunday night, I'll buy dinner or breakfast or whatever.
Email me with the email-name-click-thingy or post here, Thanks -P

'twas an epic weekend indeed!!
Great seeing all of the CSA guys and girls that were there! Mark and Judy you guys rock as always! Thanks to Gareth, Stryker, Brad, Corey, Skip, Pat, and any others I might have missed! You all made a great event run smoothly! Oh, and thanks to Jack Smith and Dan Gesmer for keeping things smooth under the tent as well.
I was stoked to make Hood River my first major event, and plan on making this one a "never miss" event for me! My mom was impressed too! This was truly a world class event and an excellent display of our beloved pastime!
CSAers: Hopefully I will see you all in Seattle on the 10th!

Pat - Heal up! Good luck on surgery(or not).
All the CSA'ers - Nice Work!
Wish I could have been 2 places at once, sounds like Hood River was a great event this year, but the bow class was something that I'm glad I didn't miss out on, every student came out with a bow or atlatl/dart and a big huge grin after 4 days of toil and shooting their first set of arrows/darts.
I'm looking forward to Seattle in August -P

Hey Guys. Skip and Scott :) Thank you for all that. So glad I got to see you skate. Its every man for themselves on Oak St. I almost choked but got some good runs. Burn it up in Amsterdam. The pavement I mean. :) Go North American Skateboard Slalom Champion Euro Tour '08. No pressure. You just need strong quadriceps for this next race August. Say Hello to my Netherlands friends and the European skaters. All the best!!

What a fantastic weekend. Great courses, great people, great venues...wow
My thoughts are still so scattered. I just wanted to make sure that all the CSA guys know how thankful I am for all the support and encouragement they've given me over the last two years. Having you guys there Sunday was epic. I feel honored to be a part of CSA.
Thanks to everyone that made the weekend go off. Gareth, Brad, Stryker, Corey, Darin, Mark, Jordan, and of course Judy. Was it just me, or was she actually running the whole show Sunday? And how many regions have a bionic timekeeper? Get well Pat!
Scott, Josh, and the rest of the Subsonic and Portland crew, thanx for putting up with me.
Congrats to Billy Meiner on his WIN at Sully's Challenge up in BC. As Robin said, WOOOT! PDX!!
