Meester Stryker, way to host yet another awesome race!!! I hadn't even intended to ride but had a great time after all. Cool seeing The Wog, Addington, Gravity Mike and Mike from Hood River, that's one hell of a road trip!
And thank you all for the messages asking about Sophie. Of course it happens after a perfect day of racing...it made my day dark, real fast. She's got some stitches on her right hand, and the rest is road rash. The helmet was a godsend. The trip to the ER was no fun, but the cleaning they did will make a huge difference in recovery. They said with that kind of asphalt you need to scrub the tar out of the road rash, or it'll basically end up like a tattoo. Anyway I'll be kicking myself on this one for a long time. I can never take her resiliency for granted, she's been a total trooper.
That sounds really gnarly Kash, heal up well! Next year none of us will get injured right?!

hey guys,,, glad u were able to race this weekend,,,,truely bummed on missing out and trying to give ya guys a good run for the day,,,,
this year has been frustrating in trying to get to some races,,,,seems like ya take 5 steps forward and then get knocked back 3 steps,,,,????
turns out the middle finger's tip is shattered, a couple tendons cut,,, a whole lotta stitching on 3 fingers and a few surface cuts on the thumb....6- 8 weeks of healing and 6 months of physio is what i've been told.
hope to get out to Antrim,,, and congrats to all who raced this past weekend.
skate safe :^)))

Pat, hope you're healing quickly. if you a have a place for two of these attemps let's just go with that. One location is best I think. Combo-plate wheather update: 40% chance of showers has been dropped to 10% chance from 10AM till 1PM. Looking Better People LET"S RACE! One last thing I got a call from Brad Kasha. He Had a accident at work with a tablesaw. Injured 3 fingers. He's ok but on the mend for a while too. Hope to see you in Antrim Brad. heel up. See Ya at the Cell Tower at 10AM everyone. Thanks John

while you guys are at the combo plate, i'll still be at home mending.
but while you are there, discuss amongst yourselves what we should do about the sept 7th world record attempts.
1) the salem hill is not avail on sat/sun (but is on mon) 2) i only want to do a 1-day thing 3) i have two places near beaverton that will work well for 50 and 25-cone flat races 4) is there any other hill than salem that can work for 100-cone ?
unless there is some breakthrough, i propose doing the 50-cone and 25-cone in beaverton, on sunday sept 7th

Hey folks, as of 1300hrs/1pm Saterday Aug 9th, the National Weather Service at www.weather.gov predicts 60% chance of rain Saterday night(tonight) and no rain but cloudy at times(or something basically like that) for Sunday Aug 10th for the Puyallup Washington area. Just my 2 cents since I just looked. That's all I have to say. For now that is, unless I come up with something else to say later. So, I guess that's it for now. Schlater -P

Hey everyone!
I was planning on coming down for the Combo Plate, but a review of our finances revealed we had too much fun and spent too much money on our trip to Hood and on our current vacation where we are here in the Okanagan. At today's gas prices we won't be able to swing the trip southward. Total bummer, as my wife was going to come see me race for the first time!
Skate safe, fast, and have fun everyone! Kash, rip it up bud.... Cana-DUH!!

Pat - so glad you are on the mend now. I loved having you as a fellow conehead, but would much rather you were up, healthy, and skating. Have your supermodels been taking good care of you? Foot massages, et al?
Congratulations to the world record holders. Judi O - you absolutely are the best!
Take care everybody. Keep your fingers crossed for our US guys in Sweden. Looking forward to seeing everybody at Stryker's event.
