I can put on the April race. Would it be OK to have it in Salem, or does it have to be in Portland?

I'd like to start early to post CSA races for 2009.Most races are on the second Sunday of each month. March - Salem. April -Portland (PDX). May- Seattle. June-Salem (Oregon State Games). July Hood River- Aug. Seattle(Combo-Plate). Sept.-Portland (PDX). Oct -Salem. I'll do the Seattle races. Any takers to help with Salem and Portland?I know Pat does (OSG)and Gareth Hood River.I don't want to anyone to think they have to put on a race but any help would be great. That would be one race a month... Plus out of state races. Should be a real busy year of racing. This will be my last year as an AM.

Hey, Big Thanks to everyone who showed up and had fun skating, blabbing, eating and skating and whatever. It always feels good to blow money feeding the skating family, especially since I know they don't eat well at home. It was fun seeing the resurfacing of Capt'n Dave, seeing Pat riding again post surgery, Seeing Skip with a beard and post surgery as well but not skating yet and Jackman and his shoulder brace. It still amazes me watching Jackman, Corey, Darrin, Stryker and Dan-O and how fast you guys are now-a-days. Good to see the Ironman had something left to bring to the BBQ. Pete still amazes me for a guy with 2 sub-optimal knees and who slaloms about 3 times a year when we put things on in Salem. Always good see Eney and Addington and make fun of Hughes in his absence. I'm so bad with names and I know I suck but it's always good seeing all the other Salem Locals show up as well as AJ and AJ Jr. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone else here but that's why I'm the Disorganizer.
Special thanks to Shaun(sp?) and Tay Hunt for showing up early and helping set and mark courses, leaf-blower the hill to sparkling cleanliness.
Schater -P

Holy Cow! I have been out of the loop. Man, the things that go on in the world. I've just had my head down, grading papers and pretty much unaware of the world at large. Sheesh Skip - heal fast, your xray looks kind of bionic. Corey - nice face shot on facebook! I do love the group photo though - I miss you guys. Pat - glad to hear you are on a board again. I'm taking my board to school tomorrow. I have requests from some kids to let them give it a try. Should be fun. Hugs to all, life without hubby in Spokane and without skating pretty much sucks!

BBQ/Slalomcross ??????????

See the proverbial "Slalom" forum for "details" posted on 10-16-2008. That's all I have to "say" for now, that is until I come up with more to "say" on the matter later, which at that point in time, I'll "post" whatever I come up with as I deem neccessary. Schlater - ???????????
P.S. OK, so this isn't really "what" I was going to "post" later, but my "black box number" was "1234"! Isn't that like, the coolest! Or maybe it's some sort of "secret message", meant just for "me", but I guess I kind of "blew it" by "posting" it on this forum for just about "anyone" to see. Maybe that wasn't such a "good" idea after all. OK, so that's all I have to "say" for now, I guess.

I want to thank everyone that has called or emailed. It's been pretty frustrating being laid up, but you've made it easier. Especially my PDX boys. I thought you might get a kick out of the damage.

Hey, That was cool looking at the hood photos, Soooooo familiar yet so "I wasn't there". I wish I could have been there, it still feels strange knowing it happened and not participating. Seeing the Subsonic "Incomplete Team" photo was really almost disturbing, It's like waking up in a sci-fi movie where you find out you really exist or something like that. Whatever. Schlater- Paul
